My family would love to rent to stay at the Beach Club or Contemporary. Are the DVC rooms in the same place as all of the regular rooms for purchase or are the separated somehow? If they are separate from the main resort, by how far? are the standard studio rooms as big as the regular rooms for purchase?

thanks for the reply. looking at this page it claims there is a washer/dryer in the rooms. does that include the studio rooms??

no.

studio rooms have access to a centralized laundry room but nothing in-room like the 1BR and 2BR villas.

No, studio rooms do not have a washer/dryer inside the unit. There is a free laundry room for those people staying in studios.

Studio rooms are simiolar to standard hotel rooms. except they have a queen bed and a full sized sleeper sofa and a kitchenette. At OKW the studios have 2 queen beds, no sleeper sofa.

SSR and OKW are dedicated DVC resorts, meaning they are all villas, no standard hotel rooms on those campuses. The DVC resorts that are associated with cash resorts, like Boardwalk and Contemporary, are in separate wings or buildings, except for Animal Kingdom. WHile most of the DVC units at Anima lKingdom are in the all DVC Kidani building, there are some DVC unit in the main lodge building on the 4th and 5th floors.

The washer/dryer was listed under the one, two or three bedroom villas. A studio does not have a washer/dryer, but you have access to a laundry room. I've never stayed at BCV but at BLT it's located on the first floor near the north elevators.

I looked up in The Unofficial Guide to WDW to see what the standard room size at Beach Club is and found out it's 381 sq. ft. That footage is larger than a DVC studio but a lot smaller than a 1 BR villa.

The studios at BLT are one of the smaller villas in the DVC inventory. Only 329 sq. ft. but the one bedroom villa is larger than the one at BCV as it is 803 sq. ft. But a standard Contemporary resort hotel room is 394 square feet.
