How are the recent crowds?

We spent the weekend at WDW and visited MGM and Epcot. Epcot was very busy and MGM was not bad. We did everything we wanted to do. :jester:

We also just recently got back, and I didn't think the parks were much more crowded than our early Dec. trip, although my wife disagreed. We did all of our park days M-F, so I can't comment on the weekend in the parks, although DTD on Saturday morning/early afternoon was much less crowded than I've seen it in early Dec. (I'm guessing because of Xmas shopping?). We avoided the park with the early entry if possible. I did do the mistake of trying Splash without a FP on our first day, and eventually had to backtrack out of the line after about an hour wait and still outside. I think we ran into the dreamflight group on that ride, which may have been part of the reason. Most were in wheelchairs, so I think that would obviously slow down the load times. The 30 minutes posted wait was very misleading, however. After that, we stuck to FP the rest of the week with good success. I was surprised at the early return times for Test Track FP - only about an hour out. I think we rode it 4 times on one of the days, and could have done more if wanted. One tip - MK was much less crowded on the early closing days of MSNSHP. If you are park hoping and looking to do rides at MK, I would suggest using those days, then move onto a different park when it closes. I'm guessing most people with single-day tickets would not choose MK on a day when it closes at 6 when they could go on other days when it was open to 8 or 9.
