I can't speak for now, but when we were there two years ago (and it was COLD), I had no problems using the pools. The air was cold, but I'm also from Western New York so my tolerance for cooler temperatures may be higher than average.
We were just there from December 15th thru the 24th of December and found that the pools were actually pretty comfortable. We stayed at contemporary. It was in the 70's to 80's. For us that's very warm, but it could be cold for some people, as we didn't see tons of people swimming. Usually about 5 to 6 families were out whenever we were there.
We were at Yacht Club 12/17-12/22 and my kids did use the pool 1 afternoon. Temps were high 70's low 80's and the pool was more crowded than I expected for this time of the year. It was great to take a break from the parks and relax! We even saw a couple random people in the pool at night which was way to cool for us!
A week ago we swam around 7pm in the Carib. beach pool. The water was nice, but to this adult it was cooollllddd when walking up to the waterslides. Our daughter could have swam all night though.
Got home yesterday. Kids (ages 6 and 8) swam nearly every day. The highs were in the low 80s, though.... we got out just before the cold snap. Have fun!
