How are the parks while pregnant?

Hi, I finally got someone (my mom) to agree to go with me to WDW this fall. YAY! The only issue is that I will be 6 months pregnant. We will have no kids with us, so that will not be an issue. I have been to WDW many times but I am sure this experience will be different. Has anyone here gone around 6 months pregnant? Thanks!

I was 5 months pregnant when we went to the World in Jan. 2002. I took things a little slower- not staying at Downtown Disney until 2:00 AM. There are some rides you can't go on, but other than that, I had a great time. It was fun to buy a few baby items. I drank plenty of water. Go and have a great time!!! Congrats on the upcoming baby. Wait until you take your little one to the World. It is a totally different and wonderful experience!!!

I went at 11wks pg. Please don't do what I did. I did too much walking. I didn't take enough breaks. I ended up in the ER. And I ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of the trip. Luckily, that baby is now a healthy 5-yr-old starting kindergarten this year. :goodvibes

Just take it easy and listen to your body. Have fun! :sunny:

I just did the parks with my pregnant daughter. We went slower than we usually do. We also rode the bench a few times while the rest of our party rode Splash Mt. Thunder Mountain, Space Mt., etc. We took the train around the park while we were waiting.

She was extremely tired earlier in the day than usual. She did drink a lot of water.

I was 6 months pregnant when I went and my husband had to sit down more that me. I had loads of enery and he did not! Go figure.

Thanks for the replys. My mom had a knee replaced this past spring and she is almost back to normal but she will need to take it slow too. So we might be a good two to go together right now. Also she wants to stay at the poly so it will be convinent (sp?) Thanks again for the help! The more stories the better I feel about going!

I turned 6 months the week I was there. Honestly, I think if you're still pretty active, it's not that bad. I agree w/ resting more often, make sure to drink plenty of water (no gatorade while pregnant). I did a few things while the other 3 I was with were on the rides I couldn't go on. Don't take chances on some of them - it's not worth it. I liked watching the shows - fun & a good way to rest. Enjoy the trip without kids!!

I was 6 months along on my last trip, and we had a blast. Even with my 15 month old in tow, I had great energy, and found that I could do almost everything I used to. I did lay off the rides where there are warnings for PG women, but there's so much else to do, I felt unlimited. It was especially nice to go back to the pool in the middle of the day. Nothing like refreshing weightlessness to re-charge a pregnant woman! You'll have a great time-- no worries! Just stay hydrated, get enough to eat, rest well and ENJOY!

I went at 3 months and it was fine (although there's a big difference between 3 & 6 months). Now when I show my DD8 pictures of that trip I say, "this was your first trip to Disney!!" and she just rolls her eyes like I'm nuts! Then again, never said I wasn't! ;)

Thanks for all the posts! These are helping me convince my mom that it will be fine to go.
