How are the opportunities to rebook onboard presented?

When I cruised last week, I didn't notice any rebooking deals on the 3 or 4 nights cruises. In the Navigator, the 10% off/$200 stateroom credit for a SEVEN night cruise was all which was mentioned. Are there discounts to be had on 3 and 4 night cruises all the time or just occasionally?

You get 10% off 3 and 4 night cruises also, you just get a $100 stateroom credit, instead of the $200 for the 7 night that's the only difference. The 3 - 4 night specials have been around as long as the 7 night specials have, I guess they're not just as widely advertised. I know on my flyer that was left in my room, it did mention the 10% off and the $200 off for 7 night cruises, but if you read the fine print, it mentioned the $100 off the 3 - 4 night cruises. Also, if you book a 7 night land/sea, you get 10% off and a $400 stateroom credit.

Awwww heck! How did I miss that? Oh well, I'll check it out when we go next time. Thanks for the information!!!

When we cruised (and from what I've been able to follow on the boards, this seems to be the case more often than not) there is no discount for 3 or 4 night cruises, but you do get a stateroom credit ($25 a day, I believe - $75 for three nights $100 for four). We cruised last Feburary.

I just checked with my family, we didn't have anything slid under our door regarding re-booking. :guilty: Our Personal Navigator only mentioned the 7-day discount. Looks like we'll just have to take a seven day cruise to "save" money. :D

$400 credit for a 3 night cruise as part of a land/sea package? That seems like an awful lot...is that right? If so, it's almost worth it to do the land/sea.

That's the deal they were offering to passengers on the 11/6 cruise. The person in front of me on line rebooked a 7 night and a 7 night land/sea. I heard Danielle confirm the $400 credit for the land/sea. She also mentioned the $400 credit for land/sea during the DVC Member celebration.

I'm not doubting you...

That's some incentive to book a land/sea package though. A $400 credit would have just about covered my onboard account last month!

I agree with you, it's a GREAT deal. But does have its drawbacks. You're locked into paying rack rate for your WDW hotel room, and most likely with codes, you'd save more than the additional room credit you receive by booking land/sea. You're also stuck with DCL's version of your stays and don't have a lot of options.

This is true, but for someone who rebooks onboard for a land/sea and DOESN'T read these boards (and doesn't know about codes, etc.), it's a sweet deal. :D
