How are the lines at POTC now?

I am really anxiously looking forward to seeing Pirates of the Caribbean ride now that they have updated it. It has always been my favorite ride even before the movies.
As you can see I am a huge fan, my license plate is POTCBP and the costumes [on my son's in my signature] I Made myself, including puttting the hair piece together, that trip at Halloween 2004 was my best Disney trip ever, we were stopped over 50 times for pictures including several by cast members. When going on the Ship in Liberty square that night, my son, capt. Sparrow, made everyone laugh by announcing he was taking over the ship!

We even had a character in the parade spy him on the sidelines and give him a thumbs up.

Thing is it turns out the Johnny Depp had been to the park himself the day before in full costume. Oh to have been able to get a pic of him and son together, that would have been a picture to die for. LOL pirate:

DH and I were in the MK for MVMCP on 12/7 and spent the whole day in the park on 12/8. We rode PotC 3 times and the longest wait we had was about 30 minutes. Not bad at all!!

We were at MK on 12/4, 12/5, and 12/9 and the lines weren't bad at all except for when it was closed for unspecified reasons on 12/4 for a few hours. 12/9 was and extremly crowded day and wait times were near an hour.

I can confirm the 12/9 date. When we went over there at about 4pm or so, it was at 40 minutes and shut down for whatever reason. We didn't bother since we've gone on it a number of times before & after the changes. I think the days of POTC being a walk-on are long gone!

Yesterday Sunday 12/10 - when we got to Adventureland to wait for the Pirate Tutorial that started at 12:25ish the wait time changed from 20 minutes to 30 minutes to 50 minutes by the time the tutorial was over.

The Pirate Tutorial takes place outside the attraction, to the left of the main entrance. Captain Jack Sparrow and one of his crew are there to teach some of the kids how to be in his crew. It is about a 15 minute show, quite funny, and the guy who plays Jack Sparrow is a real find, he has the mannerisms and moves down perfect. If you're a Pirates fan then this is a must see :thumbsup2
