How are the desserts at AG?

Just trying to plan here...
We're doing Ariel's for my daughter's birthday. What are the desserts like? They come on some sort of tower, right? I'm trying to determine whether I should order an additional birthday cake through Disney Dining. Will they sing Happy Birthday?

Not on a tower, on a tray. They are really really good!!!!! They did sing Happy bday to dd when we went with her.
