How are the crowds & weather right now?

I know this is probably a dumb question, but I’m at work & needed a little Disney break. We’ll be heading down this weekend for our vacation. It’s the first time we’ve taken my 2 DSS{ ages 13 & 15} in oppressively hot & crowded July. We’ve already tried to warn them that it’s a bit different than October when we usually go. But I’m just curious how the crowds are looking right now. Are they astronomical, normal July busy, or less than usual? And how’s the humidity right now? I’ve been checking weather.com for next week’s forecast, but I just get the normal “89 degrees, scattered t-storms” all the time. Anyone have a more “people-friendly” forecast for me?

It's pretty warm. Not as hot as it can get in the summer, but definetly warm! There are thunderstorms pretty much every afternoon. As far as the crowds go, it definetly got normal after the fourth. I would say they are managable. I was there on Friday, we waited 20 minutes for POTC, even though the sign said 40. Splash was an hour. So, it's busy, but not as busy as it could be! just don't worry about the crowds. Enjoy yourselves. Drink lots of water, and take lots of breaks!

Wow, only 20 minutes for Pirates? That’s awesome. I was hearing how at the opening the line ran all the way to the front of Adventureland. People were able to get a Dole Whip while waiting! I’ll take 20 minutes

Thanks for that report.....we'll be there Saturday, and I have been expecting the worst at least as far as the crowds!
