My parents went to Epcot today and there was next to nobody there. They went right onto Soarin with NO wait, and when it ended they went right on again!
But it's usually much slower on weekdays than weekends. So it will be considerably more crowded on this weekend, especially considering it's a holiday weekend.
We just got back today! We were there for 6 nights and had a great time. We never waited more then 15 minutes for any ride at MK, Epcot or AK. It was however, very hot and humid. It rained a bit every day but that never stopped us--it doesn't last long.
It's positively dead at WDW right now. I have a friend who is a high-level manager with guest relations at WDW, the MK specifically. There were 11,000 people in the MK today. Last year he told me that they did four times that, and that they expected slightly more this year. This whole disaster and resulting gas crisis have are already having an impact on the area. I had breakfast at a WDW resort this morning...the parking lot was *empty*...two days before Labor Day weekend.
