just wondering how bad the crowds are. We were there this week a few years ago and it was shoulder to shoulder in MK.

It's been brutal since around the 16th. Crowds were heavy then, then just increased.

MK hit phase 2 closure on christmas. Wall wall people, standstill by the walkway in-between Peter Pan and IASW.

Leaving today, 12/27. There's been a noticeable increase in crowds everywhere since Christmas Day. When we got her 12/23 we were surprised at how light the crowds and lines were. We hit three parks yesterday, MK, EP, and HS. All were packed.

Similar to us, Libby. We arrived 12/21 and had no issues with crowds at all until Christmas. And to be honest the only crowd issues we experienced were Christmas night at MK (specifically because we wanted to see the crowds) and last night at DHS. The FP+ lines were about 30 mins long.

Overall though I have to admit I’m a bit confused now when people talk about the crowds being unbearable during this time. I think if you sleep in and arrive at the parks at peak they may be but we must have missed most of the action by being there for park open, out by lunch, and back at night with an open mind and a watchful eye on FP+ availability.

We were there from the 16th to 23rd and the worst we saw was that Saturday the 16th at MK. We werent expecting to arrive that day originally so we didnt book FP. The rest of the week was crowded but not brutal by any means.

A Saturday in the MK when the park has closed early for parties 3 or 4 of the preceding nights is always going to be ugly.

I think you may see that unbearableness this coming week. I seem to remember people saying that Christmas week last year was a little lighter than expected and then the first week of Jan was completely slammed. It was because a lot of kids had the week after New Year’s off. The way Christmas falls this year a lot of kids will have that full week off again (my kids do) so it may get busier.

I was there 15th, 16th, and 17th and holiday crowds were already thick. Brutal by my standards because I’m not waiting 80 minutes for Haunted Mansion, 60 for Dinosaur, 155 for Space, etc..glad we had a FP for Pirates because that line was a posted 60 min wait but the crowd extending to the entrance looked even longer than that

We are here now. It’s crowded but nothing awful. Certainly not “shoulder to shoulder”, even last night fireworks at MK was not that awful. We have not experienced any overwhelming crowds.

At AK today. The most crowded I have seen this park but again it’s manageable. Only issue so far was 25 min wait for Navi river FP. Otherwise, FPs are as efficient as ever. 20 mins enter to exit FOP.

Obviously a good touring plan and efficient use of FP are very important. But we are not doing much less than we did on our last trip (which was end of august this year).

We were there 12/16-12/22, and this was our experience. It was considerably busier than 2015, so much so that I will not return during the holidays. It didn't ruin our trip, but I'm the Disney nut and don't want to return any time soon. We had a good touring plan, and had efficient use of FP. We waited the longest for FOP (couldn't get a FP) and RnR. We rode both at the end of the night.

We are leaving today and the last two days the crowds have gotten noticeable heavier. Epcot is pretty slammed today. Honestly, I’m happy we are leaving today.

At times, you could really notice the crowds at AK on Sunday (the only day we've been there this week). But that was mostly at night (especially since they never opened seating for ROL and ended up cancelling it) and around Avatar of course. But on the whole it wasn't that bad for this time of year

How are the crowds at Disney Springs?
Christmas evening they were having people park at Typhoon Lagoon and then running a shuttle between there and DS. We literally got the last valet parking spot around 7:30 PM.

We went there again last evening around 6 PM and there was still some parking in the garages even thought they were posted as "full".

Also here was Tomorrowland on Christmas Day last afternoon between parades:

Wow! We are there beginning next week for 17 nights. I might be hanging by the pool for the early part of the trip. We knew it would be busy next week, but that was one of the only times our friends could get away. I won’t be braving those crowds.

We were there 12/14-12/21 and the only time we saw people packed in like that was during HEA on a non-party night (thankfully we were able to do the dessert party and were in our reserved spot).

For regular park time, that seems crazy. I honestly wasn’t bothered by the crowds (except during the party where I paid $300 for the privilege....), but that above is a whole different level. Makes me feel claustrophobic.
