How are the crowds the weekend after T-giving

We have recently relocated from Illinois to South Carolina. My husband is itching to take a weekend trip to WDW. We have typically gone the week after Thanksgiving but have not arrived at the parks until Monday. He wants to head down the Friday after Thanksgiving and go to the parks on Sat and Sunday. We really have not done the parks on the weekends. We are very spoiled by low crowds!

What should we expect for crowds the weekend after Thanksgiving?

OK Apparantly I misunderstood DH's intentions. He is wanting to go the 2nd weekend in December. SO how are the crowds on a weekend then? I know he told me right after thanksgiving before...but he says he never wanted to go then because it would be too busy.

We usually go the week after Thanksgiving. We are arriving oursleves on the 3rd, but don't plan to start touring until the 5th. In our experience Saturdays are very bad. I think it is because it is usually most peoples last day of their vacation and also local come then. Maybe if you avoid MK it might not be too bad but when we went on Saturday it was a nightmare compared to the deadness of the rest of the week

I've heard those are good dates/not very busy, but I agree to avoid the Sat at MK if possible. Look at the new EMH schdule to see what days are good. Smart of your hubby to avoid the weekend after Tday, it's going to be busy, we are going over that time and are expecting the crowds!

The only problem with that following weekend is that they are taping the Christmas parade at MK on Saturday, December 3...and Friday, December 2. We are going to be at Disney during that time, but we are planning to completely avoid MK that weekend.

Yup forgot that as well, we were there the day of the parade and all those extras that are there for the taping are then allowed to tour the park for free that day! What a nightmare!
