How are the crowds right now?

We're heading down to WDW Saturday for a week at OKW. Hoping for small crowds this trip.

We checked in on 10/12 and out 10/22. When we checked in they said they have a full house. The parks were super crowded - not like the old days in Oct. We couldn't even get on Toy Story at teh studio's for extra maic hours - the wait was over an hour all night - we don't wsit that long for any ride.

It seemed everything was very busy the past week or so. Good luck - we loved staying at OKW though!

We just got back on Saturday evening after being there 10/14 - 10/22. We did AK on 10/14 and were able to walk on the Safari around noon. 10/15 at MK was walk-on for most rides. 10/16 at Epcot was busy due to F&W, but not any worse than we were expecting and we were able to go on TestTrack 3 times in a row with only a 10 minute wait for each ride. We were at AK on 10/20 and the Nemo show was only about 2/3's full for the first show. We did MNSSHP that evening, which was busy, but we were able to get a great spot in Frontierland for the first parade only 15 minutes before it started.

The crowds did not seem too bad until this past Friday at Epcot and Saturday at MK. It was a madhouse at MK on Saturday. I think alot of Northern schools had a semester break this past weekend.

Well I come from Northeast and do not know of any school break... we arrived 18 and it has been crowded at each park... DHS was packed yesterday and MK packed today....we have been coming for 12 years in Oct and this is the first time except for weekends it had been this crowded...MK was open until 1 AM on Sat and MK is open until 1AM with EMH tonight...and they are having Fantasmic everynight and 2 X some nights? so I would say crowded.

Seems like the parks are closing earlier next week if that is any indication of crowds. I was disappointed MK was not staying open later than it is most nights.

The parks have been busy most of this slow season. The slow days have been pretty random.

Many states have teacher's conventions going on the last half of October, so our experience has been larger crowds at WDW during that time.

We are at OKW now. We have hit crowds 2 days, once at MK, EMH evening and weekend at Epcot. Otherwise not bad. AK Sat evening we rode EE 3 times in a row walk on. So manage your time according to crowd levels and it should be OK. Just got back from Epcot and crowds werent bad.

Yes Epcot was crowded Monday night and MK during day....but has slowed since then... Epcot ok yesterday and night and AK not crowded today either...think for the time everyone left...Much better than last week.

Must be perspective, we were there on the 18th and left yesterday. I thought crowds for the most part were low, the usual long waits for Toy Story, Soarin, Rock-N Rollercoaster. But most other rides (that we did) were only 10-20 minutes.

I found that although the guides steer you away from extra magic hours, we get a ton of rides in between the hours of 9 to midnight. Haunted Mansion was 5 minutes, Space Mtn the same. I guess it is timing, but we thought the crowds were very manageable. We did not go to a Park on Saturday if that means anything. Sunday at HS was probably the busiest park we experienced. We did EPCOT midweek because of F&W, and the only ride with a real wait was Soarin. Test track we did the first time in about 10 minutes, saw it was up to about 45 at one point, but we did the ride twice with no longer than 20 minute wait.

We always avoid the park with EMH on that day simply because a lot of people try to take advantage of the extra time...
