Has anyone ever gone this week?? We plan on avoiding Memorial Day itself but plan on going to the parks the rest of the week, how bad are the crowds really? thanks

I'm interested to know this as well. We've been the first week of June, and in March, and then this year we went the first week of January. My daughter is ready for some warm weather for the water parks, etc. Since our March and January trips were both freezing!

I'm looking into going May 23-30 next year but we have never been during Memorial Day and that week so I'm not sure how the crowds are. We are from Louisiana so the heat doesn't bother us too bad.

I was there just last week after Memorial day, and found out that a lot of people from LA/MS/AL were out of school for the summer already, so the crowds were already starting to build. EasyWDW had the days I was there listed as 7s and 8s.

We were just there also, we are from MS. I didn't find the crowds bad at all. A lot of people talk about how hot it is but it wasn't too bad but we are use to hot. We followed EasyWDW recommendations and had a great trip.

We were just there May 25th to June 1st. It was thick at times, but it was more than manageable. Hardest thing was finding a place to sit at Cosmic Ray's. Don't know why I even went in there knowing how crazy it usually is, but we never waited more than 30 minutes for anything we rode standby and those were for Buzz Lightyear and Journey Under the Sea which we had fast passes for but wanted to repeat. I'm sure you will find it busy if you are used to January, but it was fine for us. Probably our best trip yet.

It was hot, but we had fans and plenty of water and we managed our time in and out of the air conditioning. And we had just the normal afternoon rain when it did rain and loved it after we had named Tropical Storms on our last two June trips. If I had the opportunity I would choose that week again no problem.
