We can't go to WDW during the school year anymore, so the only option is the summer. Are the crowds really really bad in August, more specifically the last few weeks? I know that lots of schools start in August so I was thinking that it might not be as crowded as it usually is in the summer. But, I could be totally wrong lmao. Thanks for your help! :teeth:

We went this year from August 20-29, and the crowds were really not too bad. The longest wait we had was about an hour for Splash Mtn, but it was our fault because we didn't get a fast pass. Everything else was very manageable.

The HEAT, though,...... :faint:

I would definitely go back again in August, because I think the so-called slow times of the year are a thing of the past.

My MIL just called from Epcot an hour ago and said the Soarin line was 2 HOURS long!
There were no lines that long when we were there! :sunny:

We just back from a trip in August, and they offered the free dining plan. It was great, hope they do it again. We didn't find the heat unbearable. I am one to enjoy summer weather. I didn't find it overly crowded. In fact my kids were saying that it was one of our better trips. Everyone had a great time.

:eek::eek: 2 hours?!?! I was there at the beginning of the month and we had a 10 minute wait! Holy moley...

We were there Aug 20th through Sept 3rd and it wasn't as bad as early August. A friend from work went the first week of August.

We had 80-90 minute stand by waits for Soarin' (we used FP and did standy by once while Illuminations was going on and the wait was 25 mins., BUT since we were the last group on, we got to ride TWICE!! That was really cool.)

The best day was the day that Ernesto came through, we went to MGM and at 2pm there was a 5 minute wait for TOT and 10 minutes for RNRC. I took a picture of the wait times sign. It was lightly raining most of the day, but so what. We had ponchos. And there wasn't any lightning.

It was hot, but since we were there for so long we took lots of breaks and didn't feel like we were missing out. At OKW we had 2 days where we cooked out and swam all day.

If you can handle the heat and go the last part of the month, you shouldn't have terrible lines.
