Hi there!
We are getting ready to go! We fly out the day after Thanksgiving until Monday Dec 6th.

I was curious for those of you who have gone at this time...what are the crowds like?

Im expecting that it will be a madhouse from Friday (26th) to Sunday (28th) and then Monday (Nov 29th) it will start to clear up.

Is this true?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Stacey!
Yep, you are pretty much correct. It will be crowded until Monday, and then the crowds pretty much are gone. At least thats how it was 2 years ago. We fly out on THanksgiving morning as well. ( we are meeting you at BUZZ for the party!!) but we fly home Wednesday because we dont want to kids to miss school. We are going back in January and they will miss 5 days then!

Aimee,
Thanks for that quick response!!
I can't wait for the party!
We have already made the decision that we won't get flustered that first weekend if it is a madhouse, we will just do what we can and save the rest for during the following week.

Thanks again!
See ya real soon!

Im excited too!! Just get to the party early!!! We made the mistake our first year of planning our dinner at Tony;s so we were on Main Street at 6:45 ( I thought they cleared the park, and you werent allowed in until 7 unless you were eating dinner there) Well, by 645, it was a madhouse!! Such poor planning on my part, and being really new to the Dis back then. Now I know better::yes:: . Get there by 5. ( we arent doing LTT, but you are, right?) We planned much better for the halloween party last year and it was wonderful. If you plan on watching both parades ( i dont recommend it) you will waste alot of time. We will do the second one this year. Get your pictures early too! We were sent over to tomorrowland at 6 for MNSSHP last year, and they were doing pictures there with NO wait!! We didnt even get them for our first MVMCP because all of the lines were so huge!!

We are debating going to the first and the second party this year!! Do the parade, rides and fireworks one night, and parade, shows, fireworks on the other night. That way, we wont feel pressured to try and get everything done in one night.

Aimee,
This will be my second MVMCP and I have gone to MNSSHP once before and we usually arrive around 4pm.
We have a 5:30 PS for LTT that night too.
Last year we went to POTC for the pictures (at MNSSHP) and were the first in line at 7pm.

Just remember the meet is at 7:30! ;)

We'll be taking our 'chill pills' from the 25th on!! Nice and relaxed touring for Friday thru Sunday. Hope that Monday-Wednesday morning are nice and easy as far as the crowds go. We certainly won't be hitting MK before Sunday tho, that's for sure!!!!

Our experience last year at MVMCP was that we ate at LTT around 5:30ish, finished eating at 6:45 and ambled over to the HoP to have our photos done. Took about 7 minutes. Our only problem was that for some reason they ran out of the MVMCP buttons. There were two of us and only one button left!!! The CM told us to check out a different photo spot. Oh yeah, that was going to happen!!!! I"m going to waste the time to find one more button. Nope, we made do with just the one. But hopefully there will be enough for all of us this year!!!!

See ya at Buzz. I'm doing my finger exercises so I'll be all limbered up.

Looking at Thanksgiving on the above website for last year, it appears the week of Thanksgiving was alot better then the week after? That seems strange, I hope the info is inaccurate or I am reading it wrong.

Does this appear correct to anyone else? Thanksgiving was on the 27th last year.

Thanks, it is a cool website though!

I have been there right after Thanksgiving 5 years now, this year #6. I have arrived on Sat, Sun and Mon. I have found by Sunday the crowds are thinned a lot, Monday and forward is great. See you guys soon.
