How are the crowds Columbus Day

We are going 10/9-10/13. Iam a WDW veteren but haven't been to DL since 1979. I know there are lots of changes and the castle is tarped. I am worried about the crowds and not being able to see or do things.

Since CA schools and workplaces generally don't take Columbus day as a holiday (except maybe banks, since they take everything off it seems), I think it won't be any different that any other weekend.

Not sure, but I know my son and his aunt will be there I really wouldn't expect much of a crowd...maybe only slightly more than a normal fall weekend and Monday.
