I was wondering if the crowds had died down after columbus day. I am leaving on Friday and wanted to know what to expect next week. I imagine the parks are still quite busy with people re-scheduling for this week due to the hurricanes.

Welcome to the DIS, cawthor, I'm really glad you found us and I hope you can visit often.

I've never toured WDW during that time frame, so I'm just going to bump this back to page one for you so that some of our veterans can offer advice.

I have been trying to get a room at a moderate hotel there since last week and there is nothing! Judging from that, I'm guessing it's going to be crowded this weekend! The weather is going to be perfect though - 78 and sunny! Have fun!

We are here now. Yesterday and today. Did MK during the day and then to Epcot last night. Going back to Epcot today.

MK wasn't bad at all, but Epcot last night was very busy. I would think its several of the locals(like us) enjoying the food and wine festival.

We didnt ride anything at EPCOT just walked around the WS and drank and ate. Longest we waited at MK was about 20-30 min for splash mountian.

Am also interest, we are planning a trip for the Wednesday after Columbus Day 2005.

Just got back last night. Went to MK on Sat, Sun & Tues. The crowds were busy on the weekend but not more than expected. Tues the crowds were pretty light. We went to Epcot Tues for the fireworks and it was busy but partly because MK was closed at 6pm.

Well we just got back from are little 2 day vacation. As I said before really isnt that buys. 20 minute lines at the most. But several where walk ons. Epcot was packed Tuesday night once again due to MK closing at 6. MGM wasn't busy at all. 20 min for ToT and RR we went and got fast pass for RR and then stood in line for ToT and then still had plenty of time.

We did the safari at MK this morning after are WONDERFUL breakfast at Rainforrest Cafe at MK(see my post in restaurants). Since we where there when it opened we where able to walk right on pretty much. Left after that and headed home.
