How are President's Day Crowds?

It was crowded but very doable. We used FP and rode everything we wanted to. We would do it again. :)

It depends on weather. In 09, the weather was so bad, and the crowds so low, that Disney closed the parks early on Presidents day to save on payroll. A more unexpected surprise than crowds, which were expected.

The weekend around Lincoln's Birthday (which I want to say is a week or two before President's Week) is very crowded since most schools in So. Cal have a long weekend and its not blacked out for AP holders.

President's Week isn't as big of a deal in the west as it back east. In WDW that whole week is awful as far as crowds, since so many schools have that whole week off.

I've been to DL during the President's Week timeframe and Lincoln's Birthday weekend and Lincoln's was way worse the years we went.

We went this year (2009) for 4 days. First day was wet, lots of rain and cold. Lines were short but kids got cold so we left by 9pm.

Rest of weekend was sunny and warm. I really thought it would be packed but this was not the case. It was quite busy in the afternoon but mornings and late night were low to moderate on most rides. Using FP's and watching shows, parades etc now and then allowed us to go on every major ride several times in both parks.

Sunday was the only day that was fairly crowded. We had plenty of fun. If you know the tricks its possible to go on all the major rides without waiting more than 30 minutes (usually less) even on a busy day. That does mean a ton of extra walking back and forth across both parks though.

Not sure what you mean by closing early. They kept the hours as posted weeks prior. Saturday DL was open till midnight, same with sunday as I recall. But you are right, first day there was very wet and windy with low crowds.

I have visited a few times on Presidents week and found it busier then spring break. But remember, no matter how busy it is, you will still have fun.
