How are people getting this??

I am confused. I asked specifically with 3 CMs today if POFQ standard rooms were covered in the PSD deal and was told no but I'm seeing several people in here saying they got them. What gives??? I do not need the garden view and could use the money for other things. So frustrating! I had a standard room package booked and was made to upgrade to garden. Now I'm wondering why!?

I had the same issue, they said with every code I gave them there were no moderates available.

They allocate a certain amount of rooms for the deals. Maybe the timing of when you called was after all the standard rooms were taken?

That is weird. When were u calling? Because as late as 630 pm Florida time I was offered the package at FQ for standard room but I actually ended up just using a AAA discount instead of spd since I didn't want a split stay. Still saved me 186 dollars on 5 night stay. Maybe if u want to keep hotel u could atleast try that.

It isn't my timing. I was on the phone at opening yesterday and plenty of others reserved yesterday afternoon and got standard rooms.

I got standard at POFQ for S/P/D without any problem yesterday morning, and then when I decided to switch dates and called back was able to get standard again.

It could be your dates.

Also, I talked to three different CM's yesterday and it was frustrating they didn't know what was going on and were giving incorrect information. One told me that there is no away I will get a PIN for free dining now that I have applied the visa discount to my package. I just wanted her to check to see if I had a PIN, and she said she wouldn't check because I already had the visa discount. I wanted to scream!!!

I made 5 calls to disney yesterday--- changing spelling of names, they had my phone number wrong,--- just general changing around of promos. With both r/o and s/p/d I was unable to get a standard room for POFQ or PORS. When all was said and done, POFQ garden view was cheaper than PORS. (Only about $15-$20... but still!) FQ was my first choice anyway---- although now I'm kinda sad we're not staying at RS--- I had gotten myself happy about it knowing it was likely the more economical of the two.

It's just thick of the draw.

All the discounts get filled, someone calls and changes resorts opening one up again, someone calls and snags it, etc. It doesn't hurt to keep checking since availability changes so frequently.

That isn't bc if availability and it isn't bc of my dates. In retrospect I should of insisted they try and book a standard and just see if it works. Guess I can call once again.

I'm not following? You had a standard at rack rate, they went to apply the discount and said standards aren't available...

That would be because of availability. When they apply the discount it only gives them rooms that are available so they can't choose a standard if it's not showing. After they applied the discount, if standards were available it would have shown them those rooms. They can't apply it to a standard room that you have booked and then say it isn't available. They either change the room or they can't apply the discount.

Having a standard booked at rack rate rate does not mean you'll be able to get a standard with the discount. It's all about what's available at the time of the call. Something available at 8:07a might not be available at 7:53a on the same day.

I called this morning to book the S/P/D for a client and was able to get POFQ standard, no problem. Last week of January. It could be your dates. They only allot so many rooms of each category for the special.

They can if it's available. If it's not they'll move you around a bit. I has to go from standard to garden to apply SPD as well.

When I called yesterday the CM quoted me a garden view room at FQ. I told her that I really didn't need a garden view and were standard view rooms included in the S/P/D offer? She said, "let me check....why, yes, they are included." Keep checking...you never know.
