How are packages figured

Just got off the phone with 2 different CMs...gave them our dates...Dec3-8...got 2 different prices for same resort with QSD...these were 232.00 different....why?....also how is tax figured....on original price of room or the 40% off we got....either way...they are asking for to much$$$$.
Lower price we received (POP)...there was a difference of 154.00 from what I figured...did the math with tax on full room price...still $$$ left...
Who can explain this?.....thanks....

Did they both quote you the same room type? One might have been a preferred room, the other a standard room? Also Trip Insurance may have been quoted on one and not other other... Have you priced it out online to compare? Not sure about taxes being applied pre or post discount....

Same type of room..I had already cancelled insurance....I just do not understand

Room type and ticket type can make a big difference. Preferred room? WF&M on the tickets? Different promo code? They can often price slightly different. Same number of nights? Yes, this sounds obvious, but somestimes a res CM hears "6 day trip" and punches in 6 nights.

go to the disney site and price out without the discount for room only. Subtract the discount. Then add in the food plan and tickets.

When they do it make sure that you are getting the tickets that you want and the correct amount of days and also know that the food costs are. They are by nights and not days.

you can typically come within a few dollars by doing the following calculation:

rack rate of the room (get that on mousesavers.com) x 12.5% tax x # of nights.

+

tickets (price is right off the disney site) x 6.5% tax.

food is free.
