Over Thanksgiving week I've noticed that there are two showings of Spectromagic at 8pm and 10pm. At 9pm they do WISHES. Can someone tell me how the crowd situation works during this type of arrangement?

I can tell you what I witnessed last Saturday. After the first parade and fireworks there was a mass exodus out of the park. The rest of the people were mostly watching the 2nd parade after that and we were able to walk on to everything.

I would recommend watching Wishes, and then catching the second SpectroMagic. If you wanted to do some shoping, make sure that you don't wait till the last moment to do so, as many of the shops in the back of the park close early, forcing the shops on Main Street to become overly crowded. If you purchase stuff during the day, you can always send it to the front of the park, or back to your resort, if it's on Disney property.

We watched the 2nd Spectromagic at 10:00 from Frontierland on Saturday, October 25. You could have arrived 5 minutes before and found front row spots without a problem.

It might be more crowded during the peak Thanksgiving weekend, however.

During 1st parade we walked on to any ride we wanted from Founterland-Fantasyland...watched Wishes...then rode several rides in Tomorrow land and got front roll seats for 2nd Spectromagic..

the first Spectro will be an absolute mob scene, the second Spectro practically a ghost town!!! :)

I have seen this scenario many times !! :)

omg!!! 14 days til WDW!!!!!!!! YIIPPPEEEEEE!!!!! :) :) :)

It's wonderful. Parents with small children leave in a mass exodus after the first parade, and you will have the park to yourselves. Walk on the E ticket rides with no line up, then enjoy the parade.

I have to agree with the previous post. We will ride during the first parade - never any wait and then watch WISHES and the 2nd parade - never a problem getting a great seat.

Tell me about how you get a good viewing spot for wishes if you are on rides just before it begins. I am very interested.

During the second parade, I never have a problem getting a good spot. It is not crowded.

We will be there the Friday after Thanksgiving, but that will be our arrival day after getting up at 4AM, so there's no way we are going to MK that evening, let alone wait for the second parade!

On Sat Dec 6 there are also two Spectros scheduled. Hopefully it will be a little less crowded then.

WDW doesn't schedule two Spectros unless they expect huge crowds. So don't be surprised if they are right!
