Yes I know crazy..but honestly...we are thinking of going for weekend in July or Aug.....its the only time with work and our upcoming cruise.
We have been 15+ times and don't need to hit every ride or show.

but....if the crowds are just unbearable...then it makes it less enjoyable.

so with FP and smart manuevering....can we have an enjoyable WEEKEND at DL in thsoe months???

ps...heat is no biggie, we live in Phoenix....:thumbsup2

It would probably be safe to say that lines for many major attractions will be 60-90 minutes for most of the day. That would probably include:
-Space
-Splash
-Indy
-Nemo
-Peter Pan
-Soarin
-California Screamin
-Toy Story Midway Mania

Other rides such as Big Thunder, Buzz, Star Tours, and ToT might be around 45 minutes. And some high capacity rides like Pirates and HM will probably have 20-30 min lines.

You can, I think, have a good time. Get there early, follow Hydroguy's fastpass tricks. My family likes to save up fastpasses for after dinner. We also leave the parks after lunch, to swim and sleep.

Ridemax is a great way to predict wait times.

Now we're planning on going in a weekend in July, is earlier July better than late July, or is all July crowded? DBF and I don't mind since we have APs, but we're bringing a friend, and I don't want her to not enjoy anything do to the crowds.

We were there last Saturday the wait times were what DLR posted. Splash and GRR were up to 110 minutes. We did just fine with FPs and getting there early.

Is this the case in July?

All of July is equally crowded except for a slight peak around 4th of July. That is about the case in July, except those two lines could have been abnormally long because of that heat wave that came a week ago. Usually they won't get longer than 90 minutes during a normal summer day, unless it's unbearably hot.

Yay! I'm glad to see someone else is going in July as well. All my co-workers thought I was nuts when I told them what month I was going. My husband & I had to wait for our tax refund & rebates. Hey, strike while the oven's hot.:dance3:

We did July once, hot and very crowded! We still had fun though, but it's not something we'll plan on doing again! I like it less crowded and not that hot.

With many trips to DL and WDW under our belt...we understand going early and using FP's....

but are the crowds just unbearable in the parks?

we would be there at opening and take breaks in the afternoon.

we are considering July 11th weekend

I'm going July 11th, and July 12th, then will go on the disney magic, I haven't been, but I won't really need to worry about lines except to get in and maybe food, I don't ride much rides in Disney World whn I go and this is my first time to CA so I just want to walk around, shop and take a lot of pictures, if I go another time later in my life I'd ride the rides
