Anybody gone in early to mid june. Curious about crowds up until mid june.

yep - have gone at that time three times - it is standing room only and you will be trampled alive !!!!! hahahahahahaha OK just kidding. It isn't too bad. Starting in the latter half of May schools around the nation begin summer breaks. The mass exodus of children doesn't get really bad, however, until later. The first week of June is fine and the second week crowds will be building. By the end of June it is pretty busy. July begins the most crowded of the non-holiday peak seasons.

Here is a link to a poll I did asking about when kids get out of school. Keep in mind a large portion of those schools getting out mid june and beyond are all on the east coast and the largest population centers on the east coast. It makes sens ethat people on the east coast do not go flying all the way across the country to Disneyland. IF they are going to do a disney vacation they are more likely to go to WDW. So, in the poll below a fairly large percentage of the population does not get out until after the middle of June, because even though it is a smaller percentage of those polled on the Dis board.... the vast majority of the latter June figures are for EAST COAST population centers.

Just from experience, the crowds are manageable, but you do need to have some type of plan to manage the experience. Crowds will be very heavy by 11 to 12noon. They will continue to swell and then between 2 and 4 crowds will dissipate to some degree. The best time to hit the park is THE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. There will barely be a crowd for the first hour. If you learn fast pass, ge there early... you will be fine.

Here is a link to the best days site. Clink best days in the upper left. :) http://www.touringplans.com/etp2/etp_home.php
BTW, earlier this year the June 1-8 the days on a scale to 1-10 was 5, and 6 and 7, now they went up. Maybe because of the celebration going on?? Oh well, we will just make the best of it.

This will be our 4th trip in early June and as nataliesdaddy said, the crowds are manageable as long as you have some idea about what you want to see and do. If Spectro and Fantasmic! are offered twice in one evening, go to the second one--it will be less crowded and you won't spend precious park time waiting. Get there early - you may want to take advantage of the morning EHM at MK. A good time to ride a lot of the rides is during the parades and fireworks if you don't plan on watching those. Be sure and use FastPass whenever you can--HTH :flower:

The first two full weeks of June are typically not too crowded. We have been there a couple of years in a row during those weeks and other than the days that the GayDays people were visiting Disney parks it was pretty average. If you wait till the third full week I can tell you it is a zoo and hotter temperatures. Last year we went during this time and it was very crowded and hot.

This year we are going June 10th through June 18th. I expect that it will be crowded since we are going later than normal.

If you want very light crowds you need to go in the last part of October, the first week of December and then sometimes after the first of the year it is light.

Hope this helps. :smooth:

Im going June10th -June 18th also i have never been i just hope i can make it out alive. LOL

We ae going June 10 - 18 also. Where are y'all staying?

We (DW, DD, and our former neighbors and their 7 yo DS) are staying at OKW the entire 9 days. We fly in Friday he 10th in time to enjoy the final weekend of Star Wars Weekends and then fly back out on the 18th.

Maybe we will run into one another. Look for someone with a Pin Trading backpack with Lime Green on it.

Later,

Milford (disrailfan) :wave2:

I hope it is not too too bad!

I have been spoiled.... going at slow seasons the last few times, I forget what it is like when it is busy!
We are going June 9th - 13th!
Catrin

Tracie, We are staying off disney at the Ramada Inn...we have heard mixed reviews about it but there are 10 of us and we all couldnt afford the on site hotels..so maybe next time :earsboy: :earsgirl:

:cool1: Hi thanks for the info, we are staying at the Boardwalk Villas, we will be there from June 9th - 17th. We usually go in May and have always had low crowds and great weather. Don't really know what to expect in June.

I will be there from June 6th-June13th. I've gone in July...crowded...and August...not so busy which was surprising. I'm hoping June will be the best, crowd-wise! :)

1ori - we will be at the BWV also. We have the GV for June 8-16 for myself, DD, 4 of her friends, and their Mom's. My parents will also be there in a 1 bedroom with my younger DD. We are celebrating the girls turning 16yo this year. So if you see someone by the pool who looks like this  , and doing a lot of this :drinking1 , it is probably me. :rotfl2: Maybe we will see you around.

We have gone several times during the first week of June and it's not too bad(compared to the rest of the summer). I am hoping the 2nd week of June will be just as good.

dvc4us is the small pool pretty crowdwd during that time? When we went in May in previous years sometimes we were the only family at the small pool.
Clown pool was pretty good also. :cool1: :flower:

1ori - clown pool tends to be pretty crowded but quite pool is not too bad. DD likes the quite pool when she wants to do some swimming and playing around but likes the clown pool for the slide. Do you have kids? Youngest DD is 9yo, and is always looking for some to hang out with and have fun in the pool.(Even if they are a little younger)

 dvc4us yes we have kids a son that's 9 and a daughter whos 15. We generally get a room by the small pool because the kids like to swim and then go to the game room. Maybe we will see you there. :sunny:

1ori - that's great. Maybe we will see you guys around. Oldest DD won't be hard to miss - it will be a pack of 5 girls that are glued together at the hips. :teeth: And the Mom's will all be by the pool drinking.
