Anyone had any experience in booking ADRs lately? How are the wait times and is there much availability (for popular meals)?

Not nearly my time to book yet!! Just curious!

We're going 5/17/09 and got all of our ADR's about 2 weeks ago. DD4 asked mid April "daddy, can we go to Disney World?" and I told sure we can. So the next day I booked airfare, got the hotel and called in for ADR's. Got pretty much everything I wanted for the exception of California Grill and Garden Grill. Not too bad for a trip less than 30 days away.

I just learned the ADR's went from 180 days out to 90 days out so that was a big shock. It's fine in my opinion, but that gives me less time to find places that I could not originally get or places that we did not think of at the time our original ADR's were made.

If you're booking during free dining you'd better get everything ready prior to 90 days and call at 7:00am ET when WDW Dining opens up. That's the only way to ensure you get everything you want.

In March, we decided to go mid-June. We were already within the 90 day window. I probably started calling around day 75ish. We have Crystal Palace for lunch (I actually had it booked on two different days but did cancel one), 'Ohana (dinner), Akershus, Whispering Canyon (dinner), Hoop-dee-doo and a few others that aren't so popular. I am still hoping for either a CRT or Park Fare cancellation, but I'd say that overall, even booking within the window, I was able to get a pretty good selection.

I didn't try for places like LeCellier, California Grill, Coral Reef, so I don't know if I would have been successful for those.

We leave in 3 weeks and I've had no problem getting the places we want, maybe not our first choice in times, but it's been really easy. I even changed Chef Mickey's last night (I made it for 7:35 am, my husband was not amused, not it's for 8:10).

We are going 7/28-8/4 and I just made our few ADR's last Wednesday. I got everything I was looking for. I have dinner at Chef Mickies on 7/28, lunch at 50's Primetime on 7/29 and 8/4/09 I have Ohana's for breakfast before we switch over to Nick Hotel for 2 nights before coming home. The rest will be eaten quick service or off property with Breakfast in the room. We also have Dinner at T-Rex reserved for 7/30 - my DS 9th b-day. I was on that phone prior to 7 a.m. and kept hitting the # until I was able to get thru and answer all there crazy questions and I had no wait at all. They asked me if I was interested in a cake, I said no as we are eating at T-Rex for his b-day. I may find somewhere off property to order a cake. 1/2 the fun is planning your meals and making those reservations as it means your vacation will be upon you before you know it.:dance3::dance3:
