How addicting is smoking? LOL.... read this.

While at Great Wolf Lodge this week, we saw two women, standing outside, dripping wet in bathing suits. One was wearing a bikini. It was about 25 degrees and the wind was howling. Plus, it was snowing hard. They were standing outside the front door and smoking.

My wife said to them "You must be really cold!" One of them said, "We're smokers.... we're not just cold, we're idiots too!"

Yes, aside from my father taking me to see what the lung of a deceased smoker looked like when I was 7 (he's a pathologist), the though of being forced to be outside in sub-zero weather several times a day was enough to keep me far away from cigarettes.

yeah, smokers do crazy things...I was guilty of that too! (being outside in negative temps just for a smoke)

umm...yes.

my parents have a hot tub.

In the past I've gotten out of the hot tub, (wearing a bikini), grabbed a towel, wrapped it around myself, and lit up a smoke.

usually my feet freeze to the deck by this point.

My DH flat out refuses to even think about quitting smoking. I quit Aug 98 when I had my heart attack. Scared me and taught me a lesson. Guess it has to happen to you personally to make an impact. Thought nearly losing me would of scared him, but didn't. Now I refuse to let him smoke in the house. His idea of not smoking in the house is standing by the door with it open and blowing out the smoke.

Meanwhile DD and I complain cause we can still smell it and besides that we are freezing with the door cracked open. Of course then that makes the furnance go on and I imagine our gas bill going up too.
