How Accurate is Orlando Informer Crowd Calendar?

Hi! I’m looking at going to Universal the last two weeks of April this year. Orlando Informer has this time listed as slow. We’ve gone the first two weeks of May last year and I thought the crowds were great. I’m worried about April though because we are planning to get two family suites at CBBR. It’s my sons absolute favorite. We didn’t need express passes in May but I don’t know if we will need them in April. Anyone been the last two weeks of April? What do you think?

Hi! So I don't have an answer for you but I wanted to thank you for answering my question!! We are going May 6-10 and staying at CBR and I was kind of back and forth on EP's. Happy to hear you don't feel you need them! I know that FL colleges have Spring Break in March, and NC/SC school systems are on break the first week in April this year (at least the ones around Charlotte). Hopefully by the last two weeks the spring break crowds will have thinned out for you!

I was wondering somewhat the same thing - we're hoping to go the second or third week of April and I am finding crowd calendars are somewhat conflicting. I was trying to figure out which one might be *most* accurate for Universal. I am hoping that the crowds are manageable for that period as we're not staying onsite and would rather not get the express pass unless necessary for my son to get his maximum amount of rides in. It seems like a lot of schools are taking their March Break/Spring Break around the easter weekend this year, so I'm hoping that crowds will be a bit thinner after that.

Thanks! We really liked the first two weeks of May. We found most of the big rides were 30 minutes or less and even walked on the Hogwarts Express first thing in the morning. Galaxy bowl also had open lanes in the afternoon. The schools in Mass have the first or second week in April this year and most of our colleges are in March.

You can double check by looking at the Express Pass prices on the Universal website. The more expensive the Express Pass, the greater the crowds.

This was a great idea! Easy to see what days Universal expects to be busier.

Thanks!

Thanks! After checking it looks like we will be ok.

Rope drop is your friend! A couple of years ago, we stayed offsite at Disney and they let us in 20 minutes early.
