I've been checking the wait times on the Disney app for a couple of days now. Everything seems pretty reasonable, except for FoP and Na'vi. Today at 2:00 FoP was a 15 minute wait and Na'vi was 55. Even now Na'vi is showing a much longer wait than FoP Does that seem right? Thanks.

I have heard they aren't that accurate. I have been watching touring plans wait times. I believe you have to have a subscription. It shows posted wait times and real wait times.

Inaccurate for sure, reports since the parks reopened consistently state that wait times are inflated with few exceptions.

Depends on your definition of accurate. The app reflects what’s advertised at the ride. As far as the advertised time being accurate, doesn’t seem like it is for the most part. Most of the time I found that the posted time was at least 10-15 minutes over. Even had one time that Everest said 45 min, actual time was 15 min. Doesn’t mean this is always the case right now, but seems to be more than often. With the way they have to divide people in rides now, I don’t think they have an accurate way of measuring the real time. And don’t always trust the line. It may seem like you have to get in the haunted mansion line in the EPCOT parking lot, but it moves fast and doesn’t take too long to get through.

At MK today, app said 75 for Mine Train as I approached end of line. CM changed her sign to 65 as I got to end. I was in the seat in exactly 45. A few other rides (non-coaster) were 5-15 shy of their posted times. Anything that said 15 was half that and anything that said 5 or 10 was basically walk right up.

We did HS Friday and MK Saturday and Sunday. Most times appeared inflated with the exception of Millennium Falcon and Seven Dwarfs which was accurate. We’d estimate they were about half listed time give or take 5/10 minutes.

Ever since the pandemic, it's been pretty hard to gauge wait times. Even though some rides are close to full capacity, they're not putting 2 different parties in the same row, so that still slows it down, and with everyone having different parties, it's hard to say. Find most times are generally inflated.

I was at MK and Epcot on Sunday, and on HM it said 25 min wait, it was barely 5. On Soarin , it said 25 as well, and it was roughly 5-10. All the waiting I had was just for the preshow movie to begin.

TImes I went on MMRR, I found it to be 10-15 min less than advertised time.

But I guess to answer the question, the times you see on the app are the times you'll see posted on the ride itself.

We were at Disney before covid and even the wait times showed at the ride entrances were all over the map. One showed something like a 30 minute wait and there was no line and we walked right on. Others were the opposite. If the onsite listed times were inaccurate, no idea how apps or other 3rd party estimates would be any better.

I guess I'm curious about FoP and Na'vi. Even if the times aren't accurate, Na'vi seems to be taking much longer these days than FoP?

I found them pretty accurate, at least they were never longer than what the app said, and sometimes up to half as much shorter.

Only exception was philharmagic which posted 5 min but it was actually 20

I don't know about now, but in the past, they just reflected what was posted which often was not accurate.
I found touring plans to be more accurate, IF many people were posting actual wait times.

Not accurate at all. U could see a 90 min posted wait time but it actually only take 30 min, yes they are off that bad. Not saying its always like that but that was def my experience recently 90% of the time. Before covid, Disney used the wait time necklace tags and the length of the line to keep pretty accurate times but they are currently not using the wait tags and obviously the line length is not even close to accurate, so its pretty much a guess at the moment. Disney has programed all of us into planners and wait time watchers so it makes it very difficult not to look at wait times and take them into consideration but I can tell u from my recent experience, do not pay attention to the posted wait times, at least for the moment anyway. I know its hard not to look and I had a hard time excepting it myself but don't plan around or not get in line due to what appears to be a long posted wait time. Yea, im sure some might end up being close but the majority is way off, in a good way.

I have a touring plans subscription. Should I go off that app instead of the MyDisney App? Have the touring plans ones been accurate?
