How accurate are the menus?

Just wondering when the menus on allears are updated? I know a friend of mine was telling me about her trip today (just got back yesterday) and she was mentioning things that she and her family ate (but when I was looking on that particular menu, those items weren't aren't it)

So, are there more things offered that are not on the menus?

If you look at each restaurant listing, they show the date when they updated the menu. No site is 100% correct, but I find them to be a good basic reference.

Even if they say it was updated recently, it doesn't guarantee it's accuracy. At Chef Mickey's for example is says it was updated 1/09, but it still says Chip and Dale are among the characters there, and they haven't been for a couple of years. :)

The unofficial site menus are provided by readers of the site and they're updated whenever the sites receive a new menu.

Restaurants can, and do, change menu items with some frequency, so menus on unofficial sites should be used as guidelines regarding the type of food served and the prices they charge. There isn't any guarantee that any one item on those menus will still be served by the restaurant once you get there.

It will also vary per the restaurant, as some of the signature places have items based on fresh availability, so nightly or weekly specials can change with greater frequency. But the menus will be a fair representation of what is offered, prices and the like. FWIW.

It's a guide more than a rule. With the signature spots, you have chef's working to constantly use the freshest ingredients out there and changing things to keep it appealing and fresh. Those places usually have chef's specials each night, too, that you won't see on a menu.

The menu's you see are just reader submitted and they can change at a moment's notice. Go to a spot that has a feel of food that look good, keep checking back, and you'll likely find a few things on the menu you'd enjoy when you get there. But don't be surprised or annoyed that things may be different.

The menus do change often. Almost all are printed on one sheet of paper, and many are even dated. No real way for any website to have complete up to date information.

I completely agree with this!

WDWinfo and allears, both work hard to keep the most up to date menus online, but are limited by the fact that they're only as good as the menus that they're sent by returning Disney guests.

Disney has also started putting some of their Table Service menus online. They're much harder to get to than the ones on allears.net and wdwinfo, and they don't have it for all of their restaurants yet, but if you want to hear it straight from the mouse's ears, just click on "Learn More" for the restaurant you're interested in....

For example, this is the page for The Wave. You can see links to the menus in the right hand column.

Though I think that the same rules apply to Disney's own site that apply for the unofficial sites like wdwinfo and allears, nothing is 100%.

Not very accurate, go to the new menus on the WDW site instead.

Every time I go to WDW I always take pics of the menus and email them to allears but they never update them.
