how accurate are the "height sticks" at rides?

that is what the CM is suppose to do. Your son did not meet the required minimum height

And?

He didn't meet the height requirement. They have to set that line somewhere and it is what it is. The CM is right... why should they bend the rules for a single person?

I foudn their mesure to be really accurate. The smallest of our triplets was barely 40 inches and she was measured at every 40 inches rides and she was just barely able to get in just like we anticipated.

My son measured fine to go on Space Mountain...then two days later, he must have shrunk because they wouldn't let him on! He was SO upset. Poor thing. I think he must have had on different shoes...maybe his flip flops and his sneakers. Who knows, but just thought it was so weird.

Hershey does this. Disney tried it but parents were taking the bracelets off the tall kid and putting them on the kid that was too short. So they stopped it.

Not really if it is a word. The word would be upside down when you transfer it.

Kali River Rapids gives a bracelet and a stamp that extends from the bracelet onto your arm which is a word, for those that don't meet the requirement for the regular seat. Can't remember what the word is but my DD gets it when we ride that one.

The stamp can be transferred twice. Guess what happens to the word then....

If they are close, have them wear their sneakers with the thickest soles. But, as other posters have said, prepare them for not making it. If they do, it is a bonus!
