How Accurate are Pool Closure Dates?

Hey all.

I need your expert advice. We had reservations to stay at SSR in September. All of my 6 kids were so excited about staying somewhere new since we've stayed 3 times before at OKW. They especially were excited about the pool and slide at the main pool.

Today I recieved a newsletter from mousesavers that said that the pool slide at SSR will be closed the entire dates that we had booked!!

In a panic, I called and changed my ressies back to OKW.

Then I thought that I should call SSR myself to verify the closure date. After being transfered to a couple of CM's they told me that the slide will be closed from Labor day and one half week after that. The CM told me that with us arriving on the 10th, that the slide would certainly be done by then.

Who's right??? Should I take the word of the CM and re-book (if I can still get the villas) at SSR???? Or take the advice on Mary's site and steer clear of possibly having very sad children staring at a slide with a big "CLOSED" sign on it???

HELP - Please!!!!:scared1:

I've noticed that pool closure dates tend to be optimistic, if anything.

I would rebook, especially with kids. Take a guaranteed pool and really make sure the kids can have a good time at it!
