How accurate are 'best days' predictions?

I've looked at the Unofficial Guide's recommended best days for each park, but I'm also considering whether to sign up for Tour Guide Mike and check his best days recommendations. For those of you who have tried both, which seemed to be more accurate? Can you tell a difference in crowd levels when you go to the 'best park' vs. the other parks?

UG is predicting crowd levels of 4-6 for each day while we'll be there, if that makes a difference in your advice.

Thanks in advance :)

In my two trips, UG was 50% correct. The first trip was the week before Easter - crowds were huge and UG was absolutely correct. The second trip was last July 15-25th - the crowds were lower than predicted, and the only rides that had huges waits were Soarin. Test Track and Splash Mountain had long waits but better than at Easter. The average wait time was 20 minutes for almost everything else. I too am curious to hear other opinions.

TGM was right on the money. Waits of 10 minutes. Soarin' over Memorial Day was the most crowded because it was new and our wait there was 15 minutes. TGM is only about 20 bucks, less with discounts. My husband insisted that he will never go to WDW EVER without us subscribing to TGM. By the way,we did resubscribe for our trip (May 27-June 5) and I'm not even concerned about crowds. Best $20 I've spent in a long time-don't tell Mike but I'd spend a whole lot more.LOL

Got 'em both, their predictions really aren't THAT much different on which day to day parks to visit. They're both taking into account the same major factors that effect crowd levels, TGM does go into a bit more detail, though.

Thanks, everyone. I'm still undecided on whether to try TGM or not, if his advice is so similar to that of the UG, but at least I have a little bit more info to go on now. I appreciate the help :)

From reading archives, I realized that there's apparently been a lot of concern about people giving away Tour Guide Mike's tips -- just in case anyone wasn't answering because of that, I just wanted to say that I'm NOT asking you to tell me the best days for my trip according to him. I'm just asking whether those of you who have tried both have found one or the other to be more accurate.

Thanks again, everyone :)

We are trying TGM for our May29-June4 trip. I think his website is terrific, very extensive. It is definitely worth the $20.
