How accomodating are they for 10 year olds on dining plan?

This is the first year my son will be visiting Disney as an "adult". I'm just curious if the restaurants will be flexible at all as far as him ordering from the regular menu? Like will LeCellier give him a plain piece of filet mignon without any sauces that might come on it? Will Mama Melrose let him order the pepperoni flatbread without the peppers, etc? Does anyone know if they'll let him order off of the children's menu (it'll stink paying $38 for chicken nuggets but I'm worried that he might not enjoy the adult menus).

FWIW, we have reservations for:

1900 Park Fair
Mama Melrose
Liberty Tree Tavern
Le Cellier
Crystal Palace
Akershush (for breakfast, not worried about this one)
Marrakesh

Thanks!

Definately they will give him a plain steak cause that's what I got. I am a plain eater and didn't have a problem anywhere.

You should have no problems. Disney doesn't care if you "under-order" what you've paid for. They would only care if a child on the DDP tried to order from the adult menu. It does stink having to pay all that money though.

No problem adjusting the food (no sauce, on the side, etc) May or may not be able to pay for a childs meal with the adult credit.

What we did when DS was 10 was pay OOP for any kids meals that he wanted. Then we used the "leftover" adult credits for another meal for the rest of us :goodvibes
