How about the ugly things we saw in the quest instead of all the nice ones?

We had a pirates game but were short so let some people we didnt know who said "I just want to help people" join after much trial to get another we knew.
The game starts and he starts shooting everyone and ruins the game for us.
Back to the lobby wait for the others and try again all because of one jerk.

A person who I though was a friend moved the teleporters in our friends hub so we couldnt just go to a room with water to get to the pool!

Same person after a anchor person was put in so people could just to go that room then blocked the exits. Nice one right :snooty:

Anyone else care to share some of their not so fond experiences?

Lol I think everyone that played this quest experienced some unpleasent things, including myself, but why focus on the bad stuff? There's already enogh of that as it is. I say focus on the good.

1. A bunch of girls on the dock knowing ppl were trying to get their teams in....standing and not playing and making fun of eveyone on the dock

2. A guy in stitch who I will not name, being an arrogant jerk to everyone who came on that dock. Thats the attitude you get from alot of the "rich" players.

LOL I know just though I would offer an outlet so people could see they were not the only ones who got screwed LOL :rotfl2:

I had the same thing happen to me. Sad thing is, I knew beforehand that that would happen, but everyone else was offline or busy, so we didn't see another option. :sad2:

I wanted to Call for Help so a Host could come deal with some of the behavior I saw, but since it wasn't truly an 'emergency', I was afraid of getting banned for using Call for Help.

Had that happen too! I didn't realize it was so common. I mean, what's the point of it, really?? And this was after we had actually added him to our team. He wasn't just a temporary stand-in. We were willing to help him through in return, and I had added him to my friends list so that we could. Oh well, his loss!

We went back to the lobby too, but not before I took him out...most fun I had the entire time playing pirates, and since I'm hideously awful at it, I derived an incredible amount of satisfaction from the fact that I nailed him! :rotfl:

For some reason, the rest of the team felt the need to apologize to me over it (it was my turn to win). No idea why...it wasn't their fault at all!

I agree. If we keep going over the bad stuff, you can't move on..:goodvibes

I guess some miss the point its to get it out and over with let it out so some people dont think they were the only ones.

Nothing like feeling bad thinking you were alone in a situation you are not alone out there folks many of us had bad experiences and sometimes just getting it out helps you to move on.

You cant go scream in the yard about how aggravating some person was but you can write it out. :thumbsup2

Here this puts is better than I can say it.

How to Relieve Your Frustration or Tension
January 28th, 2008 by Amarpreet

We all get frustrated when things do not happen to work, the way we wanted them to. Frustration sets in when we fail to achieve what we plan to get. Tension builds up when things go wrong or we fear the outcome of our actions.

Tension can be before exams or declaration of result. One could get tense while preparing for a meeting or a report before a deadline. Tension can be due to failure of result or even when someone knowingly or unknowingly does or says something that does not get along with you.

When you fail to make others see your point of view or when the expected results are not achieved, frustration might set in. You can even feel frustrated when you fail to come up with some idea for a new project or your plans do not get materialized.

What ever be the cause of your frustration or tension, you have to get rid of them as fast as you can. You have to relieve yourself of the frustration or tension that has set in, to bounce back towards your goals, to succeed in your task.

Frustration or tension can be one of the toughest road blocks that provide hindrance to your moving ahead as planned.

You can relieve tension or frustration only by letting it flow out of your mind and body. Your mind or body holds the frustration or tension and if you fail to let it out, it accumulates.

To relieve your mind off frustration, you can talk with someone close or clear your doubts with the person who is its source. Try centering your discussion around the matter that gave rise to your frustration, avoiding topics that could further instigate you or that have no relation to your problem. If its not possible to have a conversation with someone, avoid blasting out at somebody who is not even remotely connected with your frustration. It might give you temporary relief but your frustration is bound to set in again after some time.

Instead you can write out your frustrated feelings. It will help you in relaxing your mind and relieving it off the frustrated thoughts. Write in detail the way you wanted things to proceed. Write about what you would have said to the concerned person. Give your written words all the anger you want to vent out. You can even publish your written content on the internet to let the steam out. Just be careful, if you happen to make your written feelings public, it might invite backlash from the person you speak about, if what you have written is in the extreme.

To relieve your body off tension you can take a walk, go somewhere peaceful which gives you a happy feeling, indulge in something that takes your mind off your tension. Any activity that can help you in distracting your mind off the tension will bring relieve to your body. Most stage frights, when the body gets tense, are overcome by distracting your thoughts away. Distracting your thoughts to a picture of something that sooths your nerves is the easiest and the best reliever of body tension.

Relieve frustration or tension to move ahead and stay ahead, always in control.

zero I did see some bad behavior also, but not much to be honest.

I am sure there was more happening than I was aware because after hour 10 of day 1 I think I could have fallen for just about anything without realizing.

The biggest thing I saw were people saying we needed to get out so their friends could get in. Like somehow they were more special than we were. Even after you let them know you were in the same boat, they still seemed to think they were chosen ones for this particular lobby.

I agree with you about the lobbys it was chaos we changed several times to try and keep things moving, maybe next time they will work on that.

I personally did not see a lot of bad either, however I was only aware of the quest from Monday morning on.

I did see a lot of what Aengus did on the docks though. One girl said something about please help me I really need to play pirates for quest. I told her we all did. Then something about, "I really need it though" so i told her she didn't need it more than anybody else. Another person later on mentioned working on a quest and I told her, "we all are dear". I think I tried to be very nice to people in lobbies. Sometimes I did get silently frustrated with the pleas because we were ALL doing the same thing. I did feel a bit bad that these people were alone, but I was helping people as it was what can you do. :confused3

I don't know how many times I saw some character plead, 'But I'm working on a quest!' And, how many times I responded with, 'we all are!' :lmao:
Did they honestly think we always spent that much time in three ear rooms talking for the heck of it?:rotfl2:

Come on why are we focusing on the negitive it's over we should look at the nice ppl not the bad and move along.

And they would get all upset when we wouldn't let them in our game, and had to boot them from the game. I would try to say something like "I'm sorry, but we already have a full team of friends", and then they would call us all kinds of dictionary names. I would feel really bad that they couldn't get in a game, but without a team helping them with friendly pirates they weren't going to pass anyways. Did they really think they could play with a bunch of random strangers blasting away at each other and still get that score? Sigh

I have a friend who left my other friend and myself to finish the quest after we helped him beat POTC.

Subsequently, this has ripped apart my two friends' friendship, and has made the other friend who was left behind decide to walk around chastising anyone who beat the quest.

Some of us are still working through our pain. :goodvibes

 Aww, people moving onto the quest without helping those that helped them was pretty much the stinkiest thing about this quest. (Of course, I am not speaking to Ned either ;) ).
