How about the rest of AK during EMH?

We have FP+ for FoP on our second AK day, but we want to do the earliest possible KS on our first AK day, which has EMH at 8 am. If we get there for emh rope drop, can we assume nearly everyone will be stampeding toward Pandora and not KS? Would it be faster to cut through the middle of the park to head toward Africa, or follow the path around the park (as outlined in Robo's map). Doing it that way we'll be walking (quickly, no doubt) with the masses headed to Pandora until they turn off. We have already selected all of our FP+ for this day, thus the stand-by plan for KS.

Our experience at EMH morning at AK in June (7:00 am in our case) - the park other than Pandora will be a ghost town that first hour. Everything (EE, Dinosaur, Primeval, Safari) was walk on for the first regular hour too. We were done with everything in less than 3 hours - including EE multiple times. We had rope-dropped Pandora and rode FoP standby (we were at the very front of the crowd at the top of the turnoff to Pandora) and then Nav'i - we were out of Pandora and into 'the rest of the park' before 8:00 am. As a caveat we didn't really linger in Pandora - this was our second time in Pandora as we had gone at night earlier in the week. We could have walked onto KS for a second time at 10:00 with only a 15 minute standby, but we opted to just sit and kill time for our Tusker House ADR. We didn't use a single fastpass - we had them scheduled for the evening at AK after our mid-day break.

An 8:00 am EMH will probably be more attended than a 7:00 am one. So, take that into account. Maybe someone who has attended an 8:00 am one can jump in and give you a more recent report.

Last month during July 4 week we went to two AK EMH's, both starting at 8:00 AM. The first time, we didn't go to Pandora. We had the place basically to ourselves. Everest twice, Dino two or three times, can't remember, Primeval Whirl twice. We could have done everything again if we wanted to. The 2nd time, we did FOP first (got there before 7:00 AM and were one of the first people on the ride) and were finished with that by 8:20, so then went to Everest and Dino. Did Dinosaur twice and had no waits for any of it.
