How about pictures of alcoholic drinks?

I just read this whole thing...and after reading some of it out loud...I think DH might ALMOST be looking forward to the trip a teeny tiny bit!!:lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: you sound like me! i have been on disney overload for about a month now and i'm currently on restriction - i can only mention disney-related stuff once a day. but i'm complying because i know if i do that DH will have even more fun than i will once we get there!!! okay.....maybe not MORE fun, but at least as much!!!!!
:yay:

I'll be turning 21 on our next trip this summer and plan to sample plenty of the alcoholic wonders of Disney. I know that I like tequila, southern comfort, bailey's, rum (just not spiced rum), amaretto, kahlua, and various liquers. I can tolerate vodka in small amounts, but it's definitely not my favorite.

and how do you know what types of alcohol you like if you're just turning 21????? hmmmmmmmm???? :rolleyes1 just kidding. :)

just my two cents.....

two of my favorite drinks that contain some of the above-listed liquor:

1. white russian. it's one of my all-time favorites. it's chocolate milk with a kick. it's kahlua, vodka and half-and-half (usually). soooo good! if you don't particularly care for vodka, just tell the bartender to go light on the vodka (and which him/her look at you like you're insane!). not sure if disney has any specialty drinks similar to this.

2. mojito. this one is a must-do. it's rum (usually citrus-flavored rum), lime juice, simple syrup (sugar water), granulated sugar and mint. very refreshing and crisp if made correctly.

i've heard the fiesta margarita in mexico at epcot is good too, but i haven't personally had it. although i do plan on trying it during our upcoming may trip. also, the orange-flavored grand marnier slushies in france look sooooooooo good, too!

LOL
I was thinking the same thing about just turning 21!!
I second the White Russian, SO YUMMY.
Not a big fan of Mojitos.
The Fiest Margarita at Epcot is really really good, I definitely recommend them!

You are so lucky to be on restriction..I am grounded:sad: . I am now only allowed to mention Disney 3 x's a week. Unless I mention th half yard!!!:drinking1 :lmao:

Being from Canada we are used to not being able to go anywhere with alcohol. A lot of people have mentioned taking drinks with and walking around. Is their any place you are not allowed to do this...besides Magic Kingdom of course. Can you always order a drink to go if you want? We still remember :cloud9: the last time we went to DL and spent the afternoon walking around DCA drinking a yummy Margarita pushing the stroller:rotfl2:

Oh my, I can't wait to tell my sister about the drink porn thread!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

She had a ball with us taking pictures of all our food.....:rotfl2:

Our first drink when we arrived. I forget what is was called. Wolfgang Puck Cafe DTD. Yum.

It was one of their specials...:hippie:

Our most expensive drink. The Tempu? Lounge at the Poly...

The infamous Lapu Lapu

Yum! I think they must have already included the tip, because it was $26.00 for 2, plus we left a 20% tip. I shopuld have looked at the bill before she paid....:scratchin :scratchin

Oh Wow you could get drunk just look at the pictures.

And on page 12 the Mango Colada that a poster had...looks like something I would sip on too.

And I think these drinks might have snuck up on some of you guys, because some of you either can't remember the drink or you're not sure.:lmao:

I don't think you can get a drink from a restaurant and then finish up out of the restaurant. But there are lots of counter services that sell alcohol and you can walk around with those drinks, except for in the Magic Kingdom, of course.

You also can't take drinks out of the park (like Epcot to the Boardwalk area) and you can't take open containers on Disney transportation, like the monorail or the buses.

Have a great vacation!!

Thanks so much! :yay:

MORE! MORE!

The sad thing is, with the heat and all, I had less than a third of a margarita in Mexico last year and HAD to go to American Adventure to sit...my feet were REALLY, REALLY heavy.

Perhaps more training is in order? :lmao:

More alcohol, because it's good....

I tried a Celtic Sangria at Raglan Road that was great, I just don't have a decent picture of it. Same goes for the Kungaloosh at the Adventurers Club. All the rest of my boozie pics are from the F&W Festival and they are small samples but they were good, oh my yes!! :thumbsup2

OMG All of these look incredible!! Where did you get the Grand Marnier slushie? Was it a stall/counter?? Thanks

Both of these were from the WCC: One is a margarita and the other was called "year of million dreams" (I think)...

That blue one looks yummy! What is it? How was it? Whats in it? And how much was it?

I might have to get one in a few weeks when we get there!!!

Wow! After reading all 14 pages, I'm surprised none of my favorites were mentioned. I don't have pics though.

DAK- At the bar near the Safari (can't remember the name) there's a blue drink called an Oasis that's YUMMY! It's blue curacao, lemonade & bacardi limon.

Epcot- From R&C, the Welsh Dragon & English Rose. I've got the recipes for both (asked while there) if yall want it. Both are super good! Dh & I aren't exactly lightweights in the drinking department, but once we finished our 1 drink a piece, we kind of slowly made our way to watch a set of Off Kilter.

WL- I can't remember the name of it, but I order a couple during our trip. We always stay at the WL so I get one to drink in the room on our early nights. I believe it's a Northwest something or other. It's like a planters punch type of drink with the cranberry/tropical juices.

I just realized, the only pic I have I took with my phone and I can't upload it... but I love the new Blue Glow-tini for YOAMD.

That's the Blue Glow-tini. It's special for Year of a Million Dreams, so don't forget to try it! :thumbsup2
