What do you give a 15 yo girl? (other than a gift card?)
HOw about tweenagers?
I'd like something personal - but it's so hard nowadays that I'm leaning towards giftcards..but just wanted to see what ideas y'all had out there.

I am on the board for our local Toys for Tots type program and we ALWAYS struggle with teen gifts. Gift cards are very popular for the teen crowd. Last year we bought a lot of gift cards to Applebee's and put those with a wallet or something else. Bath and Body products are also popular. This year we are looking at cameras, film and gift cards to Walmart or someplace. We are hoping to find some digital cameras that fit our budget. Most of the gifts we give out are donated but we always have to buy teen gifts because most people shop for little kids (we have enough toys in storage for 4-6 year olds to last us for about 5 years). IPods are of course popular, but too expensive for us.

I know you liked to give something more personal, but I like giving gift cards to their favorite store. That way they can get exactly what they want, and I don't have to worry if the gift I gave will be used or not.

be careful buying gift cards. My kids will get gift cards from out of town people, and they are for stores we don't have in our area. I know of 2 people that always send ones to stores not in central indiana and they couldn't be used on-line. I finally paid the kids for them and checked to see where there were stores at and sent them as gifts to people who lived in those areas. Yes, I know, its pretty lame to re-gift, gift-cards!

If you know the kids maybe download cards for songs,or dvds, magazine subscriptions, books, nice jewlery for girls, sleep pants, gift baskets with movie tickets and candy, pre-paid debit cards, piggy banks with change in them.

I have a dd11, her birthday is right before Christmas-- this year I am making her a beauty bucket.....starting at lowes with an empty paint bucket then decorating with scrap paper and stickers......filling it with anything teen beauty related......sleep mask, nail polish, nail remover, facial mask, etc. and also a gift card to Claires. I did this last year and that's all she talked about and has asked for another one,I asked if I could redo the bucket and she said no, I want another decorted one!!! sometimes it's the small things they like. she's also into scrapbooking and will be getting alot of supply's. hope this helps

I am 15, so maybe I can help you. What about a cute purse? Stuff like makeup and Bath and Body type stuff are also good. Another good thing is an MP3 player. You can find some good, inexpensive ones, like the one we got my cousin was only $60 I believe. A necklace or other type of jewelry is also good. Hope that helped a bit. My only problem is that I don't know what I want for Christmas. LOL. I don't wear a lot of makeup and stuff like that, I have a TON of purses. I already have an MP3 player and I don't really want any more jewelry. LOL. I would ask for a flag for color guard, but I already have two of those. LOL.

I have a fifteen year old daughter and here are some things that I know she would like:

a fleece throw or blanket- they have them with all kinds of designs and pictures on them. She is a dancer and saw a throw she really liked that had a Ballet scene on it.

fleece drawstring pants with a long sleeve t-shirt for sleeping in or just hanging out around the house.

socks with colorful prints/pictures on them

any kind of bath/beauty products, especially body wash and lotions in tropical scents

movie tickets, gift cards, cash, (not very personal, but an EXCELLENT gift for a teen!)

DVD's or board games if you know of some she would like and doesn't have
