Houston DIS Meet

Would like to see if there would be any interest in a Houston area DIS meet. This board should have more traffic, so I am asking around.

If I'm at home, it's unlikely that I could drive the 5 1/2 hours up to Houston from the Valley. But if it's at a time when I'm near there, I'd be interested.

Not from there, but I'll be headed there sometime in the next few months (currently scheduled for March) for surgery at MD Anderson. If it's when I'm there, I'd possibly go.

I am also in Katy. I would love to meet with others of like mind. I have been told recently that I take Disney too far..... I know I am not the only one.

Count me in. I'm from the southeast part of Houston. There are several here from Pearland and Friendswood that have participated in meets in the past. They would probably be interested, too.

I was Downtown after Christmas. I was amazed at all of the new stores and restaurants that have opened. I saw a House of Blues, that would get my vote.

Sounds neat. I have never actually been to a House of Blues. OK, yes, I started this, but have questions. Being new to the sites I just thought it would be neat to meet other like-minded people. Now, are kids welcome at Dis- meets? I am not that concerned about it because my kids generally think I take Disney too far. (Is wearing a large Sorcerer Mickey hat to work and having my name changed to "Disney" taking it too far???)

Now I guess we just decide on a date and location? Honugirl and Simba'smom, is March good for both of you? House of Blues sound good to everyone? Or we could meet at the Joe's Crab Shack on 610 across from Reliant Stadium. (I thought this would be good if anyone will be bringing kids- they have a large play area.) I would assume a weekend day would be best. I don't work the 1st and 3rd weekends, so I know I will be free those weekends. Any input will be appreciated. Would it be best to set it further into the future so more people know about it or just keep bumping this so that more people see it? I will also post something on the Dis Meets boards. And a very happy weekend to all.
