I have read alot of conflicting answers to my questions, but I am trying to weed through. Please answer from experience or others experience.

I am married, 23 yo. I want to do the CP like in the fall of 09 or spring of 10. I know that is a bit far, but I am starting back school while working 2 jobs. When I start the CP, I want to permanently move to Orlando, as I am aspiring to work for Disney (Hotel Management). If it were just the married thing, I could easily bunk in a separate apartment than my husband and us both do the CP, which I am trying to talk him into. But I also have 3 cats I cannot part with, therefore, making off-site housing mandatory. For those who have inquired about this situation, or had close-friends with this situation, what did you do?
I am mostly interested in the educational classes available for the CP members. I would hate it if I couldn't do the CP because I was married. I mean that's a bit discriminative. Does anyone know my options? Like maybe paying for rent and having a room, but just staying at the apartment with my husband? Could I get in trouble for that?

Requests for offsite housing prior to arrival is reviewed on a case by case basis- inquire when you interview next year. After arrival, in most cases they are very receptive to releasing you from the housing system (and stop rent deductions) if you can prove that you have residence elsewhere. If you can afford to have the rent taken out of your paycheck and not live in your assigned apartment, that is an option as well (Disney doesn't check to ensure you're living/residing in your apartment).

As far as classes go, they are available to any cast member at the Florida site. Even though they are promoted as a large part of the college program, enrollment is open to any Cast Member who is interested. Of course this may change, so be sure to ask before making any decisions based upon this.

Much luck to you!

yeah as a recruiter I face those situations all the time and I echo what she said. If you can prove you will have a place to live outside the complexes, they will review the case and usually let you go. I'm also going to move to Orlando permanently after I go back as a CP in Jan 09. I can't wait!

And against the law! Disney cannot legally ask you if you're married, if they ask you don't have to answer.

I will also be married during my CP (Fall 2008), but I am going to live in the CP apartments while my husband stays in Iowa. The downside is that when he comes to visit he can't stay with me - but it sounds like you are already set to go with an off-campus apartment!

when i was there, fall 2005, if your husband did the program with you, you could live together((in a one bedroom)) if you show them your marriage certificate.
