Housewives of Atlanta?

What's with the woman whose boyfriend doesn't want to be known, even to her friends? She just refers to him as "big daddy". My guess is he is married.

Then we have the one married to an NFL player, one married to an NBA player and one divorcing an NFL player.

Oh boy. This sounds like something this native should be proud of......

The one with the "Big Daddy" seems interesting. She was at the car dealership and called him up talking about how much she liked the car and wanted to take it with her. Off she drove with the $68,000 vehicle and her two daughters in tow.

Another was hiring staff for her home. I swear she must have named 10 people-house manager, housekeeping staff, chef, governess, nanny, etc. I'm not sure what the difference between the governess and nanny would be and I thought there was only 1 child but I could be wrong about that.

I watched the other 2 versions and was mostly appalled by those women. Of course, I kept watchng though. I'm sure I'll do the same with this one.

This season is going to be a "hot mess" - I will not miss an episode :rotfl: :rotfl:

When does it start? I watched the NY one.

In October-I just saw a 30 minute "preview" show.

The girl with the "Big Daddy" (the only white woman-there are 3 blacks and an Asian lady) honestly seems to be an ex hooker-sooooo low class.:sad2:

The one married to the basketball player-both she & he are adorable-but are spending $$$ like it grows on trees!:scared1:

I missed the first segment on the asian girl

The one divorcing the football player thinks she is DaBomb and the one married to one seems like an ex pole dancer!:lmao:

It's going to be a "hoot" and definitely not "high Society"

I think BRAVO has taken over my mind. Even if I can't stand the show, I can't help watching:happytv: ! It started so innocently with Project Runway and before I knew it I was watching "Tabitha's Salon Takeover" and "The Rachel Zoe Project.":scared1:

justjudy.... Bravo is drawing me in, too! I saw this show today...don't think I'll be watching...definitely a "hot mess..." :rotfl2:

OK, I draw the line at Rachel Zoe, but I know what you mean about Bravo...

Project Runway, Top Design, Top Chef, Real Housewives, Tabitha...it's like Bravo is taking over the world!

The other day I saw a show listing the groups of people who lost money in the recent financial crisis. They showed all of the homes in the Hamptons and the expensive Manhattan condos and talked about their steep drop in value and the number of repo's, bankruptcies and divorces coming in the NY social elite soon. I thought of the NY season of Real Housewives and wondered how many of them are losing their nannies, summer homes, personal trainers etc....

My heart is bleeding for them :rotfl: Boo Hoo!

I was embarrassed for her and the example she is setting for her daughters.

I too saw the preview show and wondered the exact same thing. A Nanny and a Governess.....:confused3 what is the difference? I think they had 2 small boys and the new 15 thousand sq. ft. house.

The bimbo's of OC were annoying, but they seemed to flaunt a little less and they were married to tycoons not sports stars. I certainly don't remember them having that kind of house staff. Maybe because it is in the south that the lifestyles are very different.

You know what - I admired some of the OC and NY Housewives - they had careers or owned their own businesses and seemed to work at being successful. Well, some of them anyway. The ATL ones for the most part seem to have married well...but I only saw a small part of the preview so I could be completely wrong!

I am ashamed to say that I saw the preview too. I am shocked at the disgusting way that they flaunted their over the top lifestyle;) . Yes, I will be watching this season.

When is it on? I watched almost the entire NYC series on a plane ride...sounds like I would like to give Atlanta a go!
:)
