What exactly do they do(when you 're an owner) for trash and towel and full cleaning day? Then when you leave do you yourself have to clean out the cupboard and fridge or do they?
They replace the towels and empty the trash. Usually they'll leave new shampoo/soap and possible another coffee pack (I don't use it so I'm just assuming here).
Not sure what you mean about the cuboards & fridge - of course if you've put stuff in there you should throw it away before you leave! It's not fair to the housekeeper to be cleaning out that! You don't need to wash the dishes or anything, though....just get your stuff out of there.
Trash & Towel Service
For stays of seven or less nights, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day four, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both.
With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:
Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
Provide fresh bathroom linens.
Replace shampoo, facial soap and bath soap.
Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners.
Replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges and laundry detergent as needed in One-, Two- and Three-Bedroom Vacation Homes.
Full Cleaning Service
For stays of eight or more nights, Full Cleaning Service is provided on day four and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day eight. After that, the cycle begins again on day 12, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, Vacation Points or a combination of both.
With Full Cleaning service, Housekeeping will provide everything included with the Trash & Towel Service, plus:
Change the bed linens.
Vacuum and dust the Vacation Home.
Clean the bathroom(s).
Clean the kitchen/kitchenette and wash the dishes.
When we've stayed (cash) at BWV, we've shown housekeeping the food we have left over that's still good. The manager will come and sign off on it, then the housekeeping staff can share it. We've left some nice items in the past for them. Of course, out of courtesy, we pick up, clear out the cabinets, and at least stack the dishes. But we do pick up every day in any hotel room.
I was just making sure on all the rules. Thanks so much for the info. Since I hate to throw things away that is an Excellent idea!!! I did not think of that. So you all call housekeeping and tell them you have closed goods (since I'm not taking them on the plane) and they come and check and take it for someone that works there? I love that idea.
