Housekeeping at BWV

Hi we will be staying in a 2-BR at BWV next week. I'm wondering how the every other day housekeeping works out. Is it just trash and towel or full cleaning?

Are you staying on a cash reservation or DVC points? If cash, I don't know. If points, I think you still only get the every day trash-and-security-check plus day 4 towels if staying a week or less. However, I also think I've read a number of posts from people who didn't get clean towels on day 4 and had to ask for them, either by talking to a housekeeper in the hallway or calling Housekeeping on the room phone, and trash pickup has been spotty as well.

Hi - yes I am staying on points - so I will get every day trash and security check plus day 4 towels - we are only staying five nights. In doing the check-in on line, it asked if you would like every other day housekeeping or would like to waive it. That's what caused my confusion. I have also been a BWV owner since Nov. 1997. on line check is is set up for the Disney HOTELS, all the options do not necessarily apply to DVC units.

We asked for service every 4 days and they came on both day 4 and 8. would have done full service but we didn’t require it. Asked for new towels on day 8. They came to empty the trash each day.

Since you are in a 2 BR just wash your towels if you want clean ones. We certainly don’t wash our towels at home each day so don’t find new ones needed every day or two at a resort.

The every other day housekeeping is a reference to the current service that applies to all Disney World resorts for anyone staying on a cash reservation. Pre-covid, it was normal daily full service but has been changed to every other day due to the current shortage of housekeeping employees. The choice to give that up appears on the online check-in system because that system applies to both DVC and cash guests.
