I'll start. My house has a pen vortex. This vortex exists in the drawer near the phone. Pens disappears from this drawer for no apparent reason. We are not sure where they go? We used to have a sock vortex that existed in our dryer, but it now seems to have moved to the pen drawer.

Very often this vortex is quite cruel in nature, as it seems to take the pens, empty them of ink and then return them unusable.

:confused3

:rotfl:

In the Cocowum / Launchpad11B house it's underwear. :confused3 I think the dog might be eating them...:scratchin

Tape. Doesn't matter if it's Scotch, painter's, packing, duct, double-sided, electical or masking it is never where it is supposed to be. I buy endless amounts of tape to make up for the vortex but it doesn't work. :confused3 I always end up opening every drawer in the house looking for TAPE!!!

I have a big vortex in my wallet. Money disappears as fast as I put it in there. I think a mouse is stealing it.

There must be a black hole in our house where my DS's cell phone and keys disappear through! :confused3

Sunglasses... 3 pairs disappeared since last summer. Bought 6 cheap pairs in MAy - and 2 of the old ones showed up again! But I can't find one of the new ones right now...

I thought I was just losing things, nice to know there's a vortex and it's not my fault! :cool1:

Gum has its own vortex here. With two ex smokers in this house, and 2 more who have a gum obsession Gum disappears out of thin air to never be seen again.

In the Chris / Kim house it is ICE CREAM! I go to the freezer and there is never enough Edy's Slow Churn Cookie Dough Ice Cream or Klondike bars. :lmao:

I think my house must be at the other end of some of your vortexes. there are only 2 of us, and yet there is always a mountain of laundry overflowing out of the hamper (even the same day I empty it and wash everything) and pens everywhere (DH is a grocery store manager and always has them in his pockets). Desserts do seem to vanish into thin air though!:ccat:

There's this weird husband vortex that appears whenever work needs to be done. :scared1:

for me it is reading glasses. They transport through the vortex to anyplace in the house I am not. The distance transported is inversely proportional to the size of the print I need to read.

All your vortexes seem to be dropping dust bunnies and rabbits at my place.

We have in my house something we call the "mind eraser" vortex. I have often been the victim of the "mind eraser". It strikes without warning. I think it is located in the main hall, as this is where I often forget what it was I was doing or what I came in the room for.

I also like to blame this vortex for why my DH forgets what we've talked about. :lmao: Any conversation that takes place in the hall runs the risk of being erased from the mind forever.:rotfl:

Socks...but always just one of a pair. It's nearly impossible to find two that match at a given time!

In the Lois and Greg house - it's glasses, not just the over the counter reading kind. Oh no that would be too easily remedied. In our house it's the $300 prescription kind - and, more specifically, only those intended for the female member of our family (uh, that would be me). :confused3

It's cordless phones at our house! They don't disappear - but they all find a way to congregate together all on the same table - which is ALWAYS at the opposite end of the house from where I am when the phone rings.

any remote control.....the one for the cable box, the TV, the stereo, the air conditioner. They always seem to be replaced with one from an appliance that we no longer have. I currently have three remotes for VCRs sitting in the drawer of my coffee table. I haven't had a VCR in years!! But don't ask me where the remote for the DVD player I DO have is!
