household decorating

I used to do more when the kids were home. Valentines (a little), then spring. Then patriotic from mid May through July 4. Summer placemats until September, fall decor though Thanksgiving, then Christmas/snowmen.

We have a set of snowmen stoneware (Pfaltzgraff Evergreen Ernie) that we generally use from December until March, but I didn't take them out this year.

Now that we're in Florida, this is the second fall I didn't put out any fall decor -- thinking of Goodwilling it.

I move over to Vday at that point. The decor is minimal, mostly just changing lights to red for a while, and a few things to set out. I finally wised up and got lights that you can just change by pushing a button.

I did more seasonal when my kids were.....well, kids (little in particular). now not really so much. I did get a decor gift today though-my oldest was at Walmart and saw all the Valentine's stuff so I received a bluey valentine mailbox which is now in the living room
