I just had my first party invite .. digiorno.... and did it. I'd love to get picked for more but seem to always get denied. Apparently I was a finalist for one but never got an email... got one saying it was too late.

I'm just curious for those who actively sign up, is it rare to get chosen?

Also, for DiGiorno, I didn't post photos or videos... my guests also never signed on to report.... so I'm wondering if that's why I keep getting denied for parties I think I"d do really well at?

I also see some participants go ALL out. When you host a party, how "all out" do you go? On facebook I saw one person post they were going to just have a pizza night for the family as their party? Do any of you fudge your reports? Just curious..... I'd love to do more of these parties!

I've been chosen for 3 out of the 10 or so that I applied for. I have no idea how they select. I m currenly hosting a card party. Fun!

I've hosted about 6 House Party events. I've probably applied for at least 25-30 events. Host/guest participation seems to be important to them. They clearly want the various products to be seen/experienced by as many people as possible. I don't go "all out", but we do have food and fun activities at each party.

No need to fudge my reports. My parties are what they are, not going to change the type of event we host just for House Party. My integrity is worth far more than a box of free stuff from House Party and their clients.

BTW, my favorite products were from a party I almost skipped applying for since it was for cleaning products. The Arm & Hammer Essentials products are fabulous. All my guests loved them too.

Good luck with future house party events!

p.s. Just got turn-down e-mails for two events since I started this post, both the Aquafina and BIC Soleil House Parties. :confused3 Oh well.

I have been reading about these parties. How do you enter to host one?

This sounds interesting....I like inviting people over but am tired of the regular house parties for 31, etc...

I've done quite a few House Parties-now my friends ask me when I'm having my next one ( May 14th -Krafts Foods First Tast of Summer ;)). I've been turned down for as many as I've been accepted for, but I keep applying to those that I'm interested in.
I always buy extra stuff, so that each guest goes home with a gift bag. I also try to theme the food and drinks. For the Nabisco 100 Calorie Snack Pack party, House Party sent the cutest little martini glasses. That party ended up being a "Divalicious" party. I had sparkly crowns for all the guests, and we drank mini chocolate martinis.
Some parties I've uploaded pictures or videos, some parties we were having so much fun I forgot to take pictures:rotfl:My only advice would be to just keep applying to those parties that interest you :)

i have applied for over 20 parties i have gotten 7
i do not fudge my party details thats not what i agree to when i sign up when you apply you agree to standards
i am a party person i love to entertain i have movie parties..food parties..sports parties..theme parties such as drive in movie parties, luau, casino,BBQ's
i do go all out probaly why i invite 20 people and get 40 to attend
this parties do supply some supplies but never enough it always cost me over $100 for extras such as favors extra food but its something i enjoy
now that its warming up i will have my first drive in movie for the kids on my block i set up my outdoor screen serve popcorn candy they kids ride over in their toy cars and bikes parents sit in the grass or bring lawn chairs
i enjoy having parties house party helps me with a theme

I have been a member for a long time, pretty much since they started. It took me months to get my first party, then I got a few rather quickly after than and then went a year with nothing. I have gotten 2 in the last 6 months. So it comes and goes.

I apply for everything I am interested in. I login frequently and just keep an eye on things. I think demographics play a huge roll in who gets chosen and then the rest is just participation. The more you put yourself out there, the more likely you will get another party. I don't post a lot of pictures, I don't pass the survey on to my guests (I don't want to bother them) but I still get parties.

I have 3 kids so the majority of the parties I have been accepted for are for kids. I get denied for a lot of the food ones. I have applied for at least 45-50 parties I think...I've done 6 total.

That was my concern. I didn't fudge my report... but #1 most of my guests weren't comfy with me posting their pics online. Especially since kiddos were there.... lots of kiddos!. #2, they didn't sign in to report on the site because they didn't want to sign up! I was just wondering if that was why I didn't get chosen again.

I guess I'll keep trying! :)
