Looking for new restaurants to try. Try and do one every trip. Never been to House of Blues. I know it’s no signature restaurant but they have smoked brisket and ribs on the menu. Is it decent BBQ or place for a laid back meal?
I don’t see it discussed much

I went to HoB on a solo trip, so I sat at the bar for supper. The food was good, the drinks were good, the bartender was friendly. DD/SIL went one evening when there was live music and they said both the food and the atmosphere were terrific. We'd go back (except there are SO many places to try)!

We have never tried it and we are on a quest to eat in as many different restaurants as we can. Goal is (probably never get it done) to eat in every restaurant on property so HOB is one of the ones we need to check off so trying to figure out where to go next trip. Thanks

This is a place I always want to try (though we have a venue locally), but I never make it there. Always tempted to Homecomin' or Boathouse!

I've always liked them. As said, not signature dining, but reliable food - think of it along the lines of a Friday's or Chili's - except with a little more southern/cajun flare. I hit the one at Disney usually once every 3-4 trips each year.

The BBQ is fine. Stay far away from pasta or pizza there… My son as a child ordered a pizza and it was bad enough that he would not eat it…. After trying it we got him something else at another CS. We did go there other times and everything was fine…. When in doubt order the burger NOT the pizza.

We have always enjoyed our meals at HOB. I love the jambalaya and the cornbread. Everyone in our party can find something they like there.

Wow, its gone way down hill. lol
I haven't been in over a decade or so, probably closer to 2, but it was definitely better back then.

We just ate there on 12/9...I had the cajun pasta, it was very good. My son had the shrimp po'boy and really liked it. We shared the bread pudding for dessert and it was VERY good. It might not be the best restaurant in DS but it's still very good

We have always had consistently good food there. Usually get the Voodoo shrimp (very good) and a cup of gumbo. We usually stay at PO resorts and the Cajun/Creole food at HOB is much better. We also love to sit outside and listen to the live entertainment for happy hour. They do not have the full menu out there, but the ambiance is great. Going back on our Mardi Gras trip in March.
