Does anyone know the hours of operation for this restaurant? Also, can't remember but can it be accessed without being "inside" of Pleasure Island in the evening? Sorry, but we have little ones and haven't been to PI in years. Also, do they accept priority seatings thru Disney.

And, finally, last question, I promise, any comments on the food or service. We will be visiting from 12/6 - 12/15.

I'm not positive of the hours, but I know they serve lunch and that they stay open quite late.

HOB is not on PI. It's on the Westside of DTD so there is no cover charge to enter.

The food is lovely and do not pass up the opportunity to try the Rosemary cornbread! (Oh, I almost forgot. I didn't care for the greens. I prefer mine savory and with a hint of side meat or garlic flavor. These had a pronounced cinnamon flavor).

Your children should enjoy the place. It has the look and feel of an old tree fort in some respects!

Last I knew they did not do PS through Disney. You can call them directly, but again I'm not certain they do PS or reservations. I've just only ever walked up and given my name and waited for a free table.

Sometimes the wait is long, sometimes not too bad. Depends upon what else is going on and what time of night/day it is.

Disney doesn't take PS reservations for House of Blues but we have never had to wait more than a few minutes. The food is wonderful! We have tried many different things on their menu and haven't had anything bad yet! A few things do stand out however, the ribs, and two sandwiches one called the "Elwood" and one called the "Po Boy." We eat at the House of Blues each trip and have never been disappointed!

We love House of Blues, great food, wide variety menu. The calamari is excellent. Hubby loves the shrimp po boy. I have to agree, get the rosemary cornbread. They also have one of the best burgers I have ever had on disney property.

They open for lunch around 11:30, and they keep serving til later in the evening.

Enjoy!

This is one of our favorites. Do not miss the jumbalya and the calamari. Its a great place for our kids because they cannot be heard!!!

Great cornbread (but hold onto your wallet;)) and I LOVED the greens! People are divided on this board about the greens. If you like a lot of animal fat and flavoring in yours, you may not like them. I could have eaten two servings! Yum! The meatloaf is very, very good.
The decor reminds me of African Folk Art. Even the restrooms have a fun look!
You will enjoy this place, I'm sure.

I highly recommend the Jambalaya (have it kicked up a notch or two if you like the heat) and the Shrimp Etouffe` (also spiced up if you so choose). We asked that our dishes be kicked up at least two notches because we like our food hot and spicy.

We didn't have the Rosemary Cornbread--we had Jalapeno Cornbread which was wonderful. My husband ordered a 2nd serving because it was so good. Maybe they've dropped the Jalapeno in favor of the less hot/spicy Rosemary? Maybe they have both?

HoB also serves a nice variety of beers if you're so inclined. We enjoyed our meal in the Voodoo Garden on the deck--lovely view and since it was October--not too warm. During June we eat in, however. ;)

Enjoy--we'd like to get back if we could fit it in this trip.
