I used the search button and couldn't find anything so I'm sorry if there is already a thread on this or if maybe it doesn't count as a Disney restaurant?

My parents are thinking about coming with us to Disney in June and since they really enjoy blues music I thought this might be a nice atmosphere/dinner to plan for them to have, but, I haven't been able to really find any opinions on how nice of a place it is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We went for the first time in Aug 2007. It's definately on the return list for June 2009.

Definately worth it! It has a cajun/bluesy music type atmosphere and the food is good. Plan on going early as at the time we went, they did not take ADR's. You might want to ask at the time when you make your other ADR's though.

I'm really happy to hear it's worth repeat visits. I seem to have overlooked it being talked about anywhere in the dining threads and I'm a searchaholic, so I was getting sorta worried that maybe people just didn't care to visit HoB.

I am thinking of taking my 18 yr old niece there during our Oct trip, and appreciate the info on HOB as well.

OT - The Advanced Search on Google does a much better job searching the Dis than our own search engine.

On the Google Advanced Search page, enter your search topic, then on the "Search within a site or domain" field, enter disboards.com.

I recently made an ADR for House of Blues for our April 2009 visit. I was able to do this through the regular Disney Dining phone number. This will be our
1st time at this restaurant. I thought the menu looked great. Glad to hear so many positive responses.

I went there for lunch on my last trip and i ordered their po' boy. It was the best I ever had. The atmosphere is great and not to mention, they have a pretty cool bathroom lol.

I tried it just now for the House of Blues and even google only found this thread and a thread about a Gospel meet up that didn't have any opinions? But, I'm happy with what I've heard in this thread. It's enough to be reassured that it's an experience I think they'd find lovely.

DD wanted to check House of Blues out so I made an ADR to go there in March. Menu looked pretty good to me. We will see.
