DH & I are celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary in Downtown Disney seeing Cirque's La Nouba at 9:00pm. I've made a 7:00 adr at House of Blues. I know it's not the "best" place, but it is right next to where we're heading and we have the $25 coupon. (and we have some really nice places booked for the rest of our week :woohoo:)

We've never eaten at HoB and I'm hoping you will have some good recommendations for us! What have you enjoyed there? :surfweb:

Well my husband and I went there for lunch in May for the first time and it is now in my top three places to eat at Disney and we have been to almost every resturant over the years. They have the best club sandwiches I have ever eaten and my husbands blue cheese burger looked delicious. Save room for the huge yummy bread pudding. I felt like I discovered a hidden gem, we will be eating there when we go next weekend

I think I had a salad which was fine and I don't remember what DH had, but the Rosemary Skillet Cornbread I loved!!! It was served with a maple butter and was out of this world! We also used the restaurant.com $25 certificate.

We enjoy the HOB. The jambalaya is my favorite!

We love HOB! BBQ Chicken pizza was very good. Great burgers & ribs. If the soup of the day is something you like make sure to order it, as their soups are very good as well.

The shrimp Po-boy is yummy! We enjoyed this restaurant and will be returning with our $25 coupon in September, also. But, if it were my 31st anniversary....I'd be going to Fulton's!;)

The VooDoo shrimp is very tasty as is the PoBoy sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. The cornbread is delish but a small portion for $6. Using the restaurant.com $25 coupon makes it a great deal for Dinsey prices.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like there are a lot of good things to choose from....... somehow that makes it more difficult for me!

rosemary skillet cornbread with maple butter!!!

this stuff is insane,

Everything that has already been mentioned - plus the catfish nugget appetizer (if they still have it). We have been to HOB several times and really like it. The atmosphere is casual and we have always had good service. It is a must-visit for DH and DS!

I think you will greatly enjoy HOB! We're headed there again this year for a family birthday and are really looking forward to it! Happy Anniversary!:thumbsup2 Enjoy!

had food and drinks there when at the hob club venue for a concert a few years ago and it was really good. we also just ate there for lunch in april 2010. my sister absolutely loved the ham sandwich with the boursin cheese. i unfortunately had a club sandwich which included a little something extra...food poisoning. it was our only meal that day and i was sick within 15 minutes of eating. i know some people always say how can you be sure... i'm an arnp... it's my job.

OP-Thanks for asking the question. We got the $25 coupon yesterday and will be heading there in September glad so many enjoy it. Couldn't beat the $25 coupon for $2.

Disney Wisher - I'd like to ask how you got the $25.00 gift certificate for $2.00? I can only find it for $10.00. Thanks!

80% discount code - look at the other threads on this board, or just Google restaurant.com code

We went to HOB in Myrtle Beach just a couple of days ago. We both had the Memphis platter....ribs, wins and pulled pork sliders. It was fantastic. The only thing is that the next time I would ask to either have the sauce on the side or else to go light on the sauce. There was enough fo 4 platters all on mine alone. We also had the banana bread pudding which was to die for.
