I was curious is it necessary to purchase tickets ahead of time for the sunday brunch or are walks up easily attanable?

It depends on the weekend. When we were there over the 4th of July week, we HAD to book ADRs at the House of Blues b/c they had been booking out during all days of the week, and the first Sunday that we were there, they sold out of room. To be honest, I wasn't too impressed, but that is just me (and I might have just been there on an off day).

Oh! And we actually had to go to DTD and walk up to the window b/c the concierge could call for a surcharge, but they couldn't finish the reservation...I think that the systems were having issues at the time. Don't know if that is usually the case, but just a head's up. Call with plenty of time to find out.

Personally I subscribe to the "if you want to go purchase the ticket in advance" club. You can get a AAA, DVC, or Annual Passholder discount on each ticket you purchase and they will hold them at the box office for you.

We attended this about two years ago - went to the morning session - and really enjoyed it. They had a traditional breakfast buffet and an omlete station and then had another buffet with more dinner type items including things like shrimp, carving station, vegetables and other things I just can't remember. There was also a dessert station.

You can visit HoB's website and pull up their Sunday brunch menu to get a better idea of what they offer.

And while gospel music isn't really our thing, the performance that we saw that day was amazing - it was really an energizing and uplifting show.

I agree with you that booking in advance is always a better idea. But I went on the disney website and it says nothing about the gospel brunch.

do you have to pay in advance or does a credit card hold the reservation?

you pay in advance and you don't book the brunch through Disney - because it is a special event you book directly through HoB. the other reason that you need to check in advance is that they sometimes will close the brunch for corporate events or other private parties. We've been shut out of the event in New Orleans and in Orlando in the past.

Ok thank you so much for the info. I appreciate it! :goodvibes
