Has anyone used this? We normally do not eat there but I figured it would save some $$. We are a family of 4, do you think I should go for the $25 one or $50 one?

We used it last week. It was just the two of us and we used the $25. Since you have a bigger family I would get the $50. It is good on alcohol as well. Just remember you must spend $100 to use the $50 gift cards. Or spend $35 to use the $25 gift card

Is it 4 adults or 2 adults/2 kids? If adults I would get the $50, but if with kids it might be hard to hit $100 for the min spend. If kids, do they eat a lot? We went last year (Me, DH, DD) and got the $25, I can't imagine paying $50 OOP after using the certificate. We found the non-alcoholic drinks are expensive, if I went back we probably wouldn't get them again.

Here is my review from last August. It will give you some ideas on prices.

Day 6 Dinner: House of Blues

Our original plan for this evening was to watch Illuminations and then eat at Yachtsman Steakhouse. However, the super-heavy rain was putting a damper on that. We wanted to go back to the viewing location we had yesterday for Illuminations (in the front of World Showcase) but stand in a better location so the view wasn't blocked. But, with the rain, and the fact that we had seen Illuminations 2 times already that trip (although both were severely blocked views), and it being our last night and we were tired, we decided to just head back to the resort.

So we headed back to the resort around 8 pm. We cleaned up/dried off the best we could. The rain had slowed down a little. We then hopped a bus to Downtown Disney to do our last minute shopping and then eat at House of Blues.

We ended up at HOB around 10 pm. They were just starting their half-price apps. We didn't get any, but that seemed to be a good deal. I got a coke ($3.25) and DH got a diet coke ($3.25). DH then ordered the soup special which was a spicy African soup ($3).

He thought it was pretty good! It was sort of like a vegetable soup with spice!

For our entrees DH chose the Smokehouse Burger ($16) and I had the BBQ Beef Sandwich ($14).

I think DH's meal came with sweet potatoe fries. Mine came with regular fries that were really tasty. They were those thin kind of fries that were nice and crispy. My BBQ Beef was really good and I think I ate the whole thing - which is unusual for me because I almost never can finish anything.

DH has never seen a key lime pie he doesn't like, so when he saw that on the menu, he had to get dessert ($6).

While we were eating, a band started playing there in the restaurant and it started to get crowded. The band was good, but it made it impossible to have any kind of conversation.

DH commented on how much he liked HOB. I was surprised since he only got a burger - I mean how impressive can that be?? But he liked the atmosphere and the menu. So he wants to go back some day.

I did have a restaurant.com gift certificate for this restaurant. It was taken with no problems at all.

Coke $3.25
Diet Coke $3.25
Spicy African Soup $3
Smokehouse Burger $16
BBQ Beef Sandwich $14
Key Lime Pie $6
-$25 Restaurant.com gift certificate
Subtotal $20.50
Tax $2.99
Total $23.49

We ate there in November and were so pleasantly surprised! We used a rest.com GC too. I think we each had the jambalaya and we also got an appetizer and the most amazing corn bread with maple butter. Now, I am not a maple fan, but the server was an excellent sales person, and I am so glad we went for it! Yum, yum! :)

We used the $25 coupon last month. 2 ladies, no kids with us. I cannot remember but I think we both got burgers, sodas, and split a dessert? wish I had a better memory, but I think we were just over $50. We thought the food was very good, and it had a nice atmosphere. So $50, less $25 coupon, add back tax and tip, it was still about $35 for 2 adults.

To be honest, the place seems overpriced and the coupon does not make it "cheap", it makes it reasonable. But, that said, it is a good deal, you are still getting $25 off. It is so convenient, being right at DD. We were staying at the Vilas at Grand Californian. Everything is so close at DL, you could leave one of the parks to eat here.

I bought some of the $50 coupons, but I regret that. 3 of us are going in August, I am not sure 3 women could hit $100, we would have to eat alot or order big steaks, etc. (at the time I ordered them, I did not understand the $100 minimum)

We just came back. It was my ds19 and myself. We had a $25 gc. You have to spend $35 to get the $25 off plus they immediately tack on the 18% tip. It does not include alcohol. We both had sandwiches and he got an appetizer. I did not like the food. We did not get any bread as the other poster stated. It was also dinner menu. We are going back to disney but I don't think I will get another gc. You have to like that kind of food. I paid $3 for the gc and had to pay an additional $20 for the food.

If you get an appetizer to share, beverages (not cheap!!!) and some of the higher priced entrees, you could get to $100 easily.

I just used a $25 one on my solo trip 3 weeks ago. I got the ribeye (yum!), added the house salad for $3, tea, and a cornbread skillet, and that was like $39 plus tax before the coupon. I did not eat the whole cornbread skillet, LOL. I got it to take back to my room for breakfast.

EDIT: keep in mind that I only had an Egg McMuffin for breakfast and then some peanuts and a couple of peanut butter crackers on the plane for lunch this day. :)

*** Alcohol is included we asked when we were there

Now I see the $25 one is not offered just the $50 one is listed.
